Best Video Card for CS:S

I was wondering what kind of video card do you think runs the best on CS:S.

Do you prefer Nvidia or ATi?

Which one do you have?

I have a Nvidia 6100 Go. Doesn't run very fast, about 20 fps on a full server on medium - low settings.

I'm running a nVidia GeForce 9100M G, which is not a spectacular card in any way, and CS:S runs perfectly fine..

GTX 295/300! and ATI HD 5870/5970 Are best cards i know of, i think, Go for any Nvidia Geforce 8 or 9 series, GTX series is nice, ATI anything above 3650 i think

If he's running a 6100, odds are he's on a pretty tight budget. I would say an ATI 4670.

Yeah.. if he has a laptop he's SOL. Cant upgrade a laptop.

You can upgrade that laptop.....I do not know who told you there is not a way as long as his video card is not integrated he is good to go.

Yes, you can.

But it's not something a normal PC owner would do, it's difficult. Along with that you might have to change multiple things out.. It's just not fun. Mobile video cards are very different from desktops.

Just not worth trying it.

I think so, I used to have two XFX Nvidia 7900GT's in SLI mode it and seemed to work fine.

hm, I have a GeForce Gt 220,
Not that good i guess runs every map with about 150-200 fps
some maps 299.

The title is "Best video card for CSS" but, the poll is "Which do you prefer?"

I voted Nvidia because i prefer it, but ATI is more optimized for Source engine games, therefore ATI would be the better choice against a similar Nvidia card.
