Punkbuster Fail

I'm trying to play CoD 5 but punkbuster keeps kicking me out of the servers for "Disallowed Program/Driver (125140)" What does this mean and how can I fix it?

I hate punkbuster with a passion.. its worthless. A free fps game called warrock that i used to play used it. didnt stop any hackers and caused problems for all the gamers. sorry though, i dont know how to help =/

I google'd precisely the error message, the faulting "program" is Steam's overlay.

To turn it off, in your steam main window, go to

View > Settings > In-game (tab) > uncheck the community overlay checkbox

punkbuster not working? well gosh never heard that before....not

try manually updating punkbuster, instructions on how to do so are posted on their website.

Thanks all. I've closed the overlay and I'm about to update punkbuster. We'll see how that works.

This would be it. Anything with an overlay or that adds any little icons in the game can cause this issue. X-fire in game will do the same thing.
