Awesome Budget Gaming Rig!

Hey jason one more thing I noticed ... missed it last night probably since I'm getting old and feeble ... that MB you selected is a micro ATX ... if your building a regular size desktop tower get the full size MB ... it will have more room and be easier to work with as well as cool slightly better with better airflow properties.

That MB comes is different sizes so you get the same MB just full size not micro :) your fingers will thank you later :P

any1 interested to know my coming up rig?

-any mobo that supports DOUBLE quad core CPUs (total 8 cores)
-any PSU up to 1500 watt
-any newest DOUBLE ATI graphic cards (1 gb + 1 gb) crossfire
-few terrabytes of harddisk space
-16 gb ram plus I will put 1 TB external harddrive for ReadyBoost technology in win 7
-4 monitors
-water cooling

so in the end i can run photoshop, illustrator, c++, insurgency, youtube same time haha

or should i get an alienware?

First for anyone reading this ... dont buy an alienware ... build one :D you can build a system just like those for half the cost if you do it yourself. Alot of the cost of an ALienware is the "custom" tuning they do ... well you can do that yourself.

Also that top picture you can see those fan stacks ... those look like big Zalman heatpipes ... work AWESOME ... put one in my boys rig and it keeps the CPU possitively frosty ... but that thing is HUGE! It is a serious P.I.T.A to install.

So if you want seriously tricked out and neat install in a hot enviroment? ... go with one of those new water cooling sytem .. hehe ... I've been thinking of doing it myself for a bit now ... the new systems have triple redundency on the connections and the cooling beats any heat sink/fan setup out there. Just food for thought :D

I wanna build this computer in/on anything else than a pc case. maybe a custom made glass case? any suggestions? If I remember right Jason isn't getting a pc case either.

I heard that Chile is a hot country so I don't want my rig to burn after moving there

wth you wont have to worry about chile being warm with that computer you can reverse global warming no one in chile will need ac unit they can all just seat next to that computer:facewall: I hope this was photoshop because.....

Nah not lost ... if you have a regular sized desktop tower then just order the same model MB just not the one that says micro in the description :P ... It may not be the exact size of your old one but as long as it is not bigger than the case your good. And worse case senerio is you have to buy a new case and they are super cheap ... no worries LOL

If you need a new case, go cooler master, they support eGO and they look fantastic and have great functionality.

Ok since the price keeps going up I have went in the garage and took apart all these old machines and posted a ad on criagslist.org let me know what yall think about the prices should i lower them, raise them or keep the screens and make something with them and sell everything else ?
