New Steam beta! - Read for details

It is pretty sweet. I've been using it for 3 days now. I like it A LOT. It looks MUCH better and, I guess "Web 2.0"ish?
 
I um, Did it when they first started it, before it was announced, it used to lock up, or not be able to get to it ingame, did they fix that?

Not sure. But i believe its out of beta now

Cant believe this thread has accumulated 100+ replies and 1000+ views. BETA is still going, keep posting comments and any problems with it here
 
I like it much more than the old version, looks sleeker, smoother :), plus I like the new features.
 
I honestly insanely love the new UI. I was going to make a thread asking people of their thoughts but thought they'd say "What are you talking about" So I didnt but anyway. I love the whole thing, everything just looks more polished and smooth and I definetly think the 2 seconds it took to upgrade was worth it!

I hope to see updates like this a little more frequently from Valve but I honestly doubt it will happen
 
I think valve needed this update badly. The browser is much better, Since valve created their own for this, the text chat looks better and is easier to read, bandwith monitor is better, textures are better. Overlay is a huge improvement since overlay and steam run on 2 different processes, so if the overlay crashes you can keep going. Overlay is much more helpful now too
