Skippy got fixed

leave it in the random box not just in the DOD:s box, and aswell as blackbird said, personal items are not supposed to be posted,

and sorry poor little guy :(

that kind of trauma is never good...think i may be having sympathy pains...please dont put the cone around my neck though...

Diamond: Yep, it's a he.

It's kind of tough to run through the Donner tank and bench alleys guns blazing, with a cone around your neck, but hopefully in 10-14 days he'll be back to full speed.

but... dunno if it has something to do with it but i think you should read this sticky

I see the point of tiddy's post, but it's not a personal problem... it's something he chose for his puppy, and he's a solid DoD guy that we all know... If anything, he should be rewarded for showing his duty as a responsible citizen here by helping control the already problematic animal population.

Thanks for playing...

Well done on getting Skippy fixed, as aknightwhosezni pointed out. Overpopulation of domesticated animals is quite out of hand. It's no fun going through it, but often necessary.

Cute dog:) But still sad....

awww cmon it just skippy. we all know each other.

My dog had one of these on at one point because of surgery on his foot. He kept pawing at the cone to get it off, felt bad for him. But he stop messsing with it and his bandages once he figured out we kept putting the cone back on him.

10-14 days?!?!? haha my dog was up and running by the next day.
Yep, that's when I can bring him back in to remove the stitches. Skippy actually had a more invasive procedure because one of his little 'buddies' was undescended, so the vet had to cut him open some to go in and remove it. Had we left it in there, there might have been a chance it would eventually turn cancerous. In addition to that, we also had the vet fix up a little hernia he's been carrying around on his belly area. He's got so many stitches on him now he looks really battle-worn, like he just came out of 4 straight hours of a Realism event.

He's actually almost his normal self when he's not wearing the cone, but once I put it on him he 'freezes' in fear, standing in place for minutes at a time, not knowing what to do. Sometimes I wonder if he has some chicken in him, but at the same time I do love how he's the most attention-seeking, non-aggressive dog ever.

I hope that your dog gets better. When my dog had to get surgery on his leg he had to wear one of those things around his neck and he hated it. I hope Skippy gets better soon.

And there's me thinking Skippy was our bush Kangaroo, LOL. I am a doggie person and know how some people feel for their best friend.
