Beta's 2nd installment of Fun facts, Go!

Did you know, located deep in TF2's GCF files, are coding for weapons that were never implemented? For example, there is coding for Ludmila, a sidegrade for the Minigun. In exchange of letting you spin your gun, you were given 2 firing modes. Primary fire worked like the regular Minigun, whereas secondary fire caused you to do 25% less damage, but drain health from enemies hit, a similar effect to the Blutsauger weapon.

Lets not forget the Catcher's mitt for the Scout. As the name suggests, it would replace the Bat and let you catch enemy projectiles, and throw them back at the enemy, dealing the same amount of damage.

Of course, there are more weapons. If you want to check them out you can visit the TF2Wiki page and see the other items

Sweet find, Beta. I wish they would've unlocked the MIRV Grenade. Talk about nuke-ee-lur.

Yeah I've know for a while now, (read steam forums too much). Wonder why they just let the stuff in there. Some of the unlocks sound intresting.

ish

I think the Spy or Medic with a tranquilizer would be cool. It would give some sort of random ailment or status change, like the DICE servers have.

I find no logic in catching rockets with a glove.
But then again, when did the game made sense anyways? :P

These aren't fun facts, they are beta got bored and browsed the tf2 wiki facts. We have been had.

Actually I caught wind of these on the Steam forums awhile back and decided to post them here, because not everyone knew about them

i think the mitt wouldn't be OPed if you had to click to catch projectiles (any projectiles, but caught like a pyro airblasts) but when you threw them they would always go like a sandman ball or something... so if you catch i direct hit rocket it'll go back with an arc and a fair bit slower. and catching an arrow and throwing it back would do very little damage... while catching a flare should set you on fire, but take none of the actual flare dmg, and of course be unable to throw it back.

would be awesome and probably not too OPed. besides, knowing valve, they could put anything in the game and a couple months/years later it'll be fairly balanced...

some seem interesting

most likely they were never used because really most of them sound like they could be an easily broken/OP weapon...but i would like to see some of these implemented in later updates...
Speaking of updates anyone have any news on the engi update because ive been off for a bout two weeks
