Hello everyone:)

I start getting a bit money again:P, and at my birthday i will get even more:)
So its time for a pc upgrade:)

I saw 2 nice components:) But i was wondering if it all fits together.
And if there is anything i need to pay special attention for... i dunno what but maby I need to use special CPU glue for the proccesor or something:P

I had this in my mind:

- OCZ fatal1ty 550Watt (ALREADY HAVE THIS)
- 2 GB DDR2-667 RAM (ALREADY HAVE THIS)
- Sapphire Hd 4870 1GB DDR5 (ALREADY HAVE THIS)
- Inter Core 2 Duo E8400
- Asus P5Q SE Plus

I choose that motherboard becaus i can put DDR2 667 RAM on it. So i dont have to buy new DDR3 Ram. And it uses only 65 Watt. So i dont need a new PSU.

So i was wondering if i can put those 5 things together without blowing up my pc or something. And does somebody know if i can clock that CPU over to 3.5Ghz with that motherboard?

yes those are compatible, im not sure about getting it to 3.5ghz tho, possibly i guess

I have seen a E8500 hit over 4.0 GHz on a P5K SE. If you have some decent after-market cooling I would think that you should be able to hit 3.5 GHz.

Might be worth getting an after-market heatsink+fan. Even if the surroundings are super cool (thanks to the case) that still needs to be put to good use. Its better to buy it and be safe than to be greated by the smell of thousands of little transistors melting while playing :P

My only recommendation would be to go to a 650 watt PSU, just so you have a little extra wiggle room with your power distribution. Preferably something with modular cable management.

Ok thanks for the cooler information,

But i still have a question. Well.... my budget is not very big. I try to keep everything as small as poseble:) So first i was looking at the E8400, what about the E7500? Is it much worse then the E8400?

And what does Level 1 Cache and Level 2 Cache mean? And is it important? And how can you see if a CPU is good?

level 1 cache u dot have to worry too much its basically the same on most of em the level 2 is usually the part that stores most of ur programs data then just pushes it out to the l1 then u see all the pretty things u normally do in ur screen

:O oke. So the Intel? Core? 2 Quad Q8300 is beter then E7500?
And i've also seen a video on youtube;"how to install a intel CPU".
On the video he didnt use paste for between the CPU and cooler, isnt that necessary at a intel 775 cpu?

dude use it its only 5 dollars (artic silver ) just make sure to put somethign the size of a grain of rice or less and the pressure of the heatsink will spread it out and yea i would deff go with the q8300 more cores more data being pushed in better results all that good stuff so dont doubt it just get it if u get any problems or need any help let me know and ill guide u thru it its simple stuff

lol sry dude . Im on my phone so im really just doing a quick job typing everything . like i was saying , get artic silver it costs about 5 dollars , a tip to apply the paste is to use the same amount of a grain of rice , the last thing is go with the quad core so u get the better results

For any CPU cooler some form of thermal paste is required. Most after market coolers will come with thermal paste (including the CM Hyper 212+), and the stock Intel cooler comes with the thermal paste pre-applied. In my opinion, Arctic Silver 5 (AS5) is not necessary unless you plan on going crazy with an overclock.

As for your choice of CPU I would definitely go with the Q8300.
