Server Size

I take it later on we will consider increasing server size to the larger 64 person servers once the game and division are a lot more well established?

The max is 32 players. I don't believe there are larger servers for this game.

I don't think server can reach 64 players and they might stick to 32 , less crowed.

Well already played bf2142 with 64 players , one word , hell!. Players are stuck because theres just too much people shooting in every direction and with tank chopper , no place to hide lol.

I found the best balance back in BF2 were like 52 person servers

They might up it later but I dont think any of these maps are going to be as gigantic as they were in BF2. Besides most of them progress and go through different small maps which is a lot better IMO

I don't. That's one of the things that I loved about previous battlefield games is the massive battles that you could get going on massive maps. You needed that many people for two teams to be fielding a good infantry, mechanized, and airborne force at the same time. I'm sure that it will still be fun and I suspect that they have decreased the number of people as movement has always been a bit jerky in battlefield and to accomodate the destructible environment.

Maybe they will raise the server player number up later on once the game is better established and if the server loads look like they can handle it...

But then again if most if not all of the maps follow the beta map in how its laid out then the maps wont be giant but will progress with smaller combat areas across a larger battlefield

After playing the beta it seems like 32 is perfect. I prefer 24-28 though.

Hmm... i think for this game we do need 64 man servers. The maps are huge and plus, more people to kill

The max player limit is 32, it cannot be changed scripted or mod-ed.

The maps are not as large as in BF2 and the action moves steadily with 32 players, other squad game types use 8 or 16 players on smaller portions of the maps.

More info on server configs (maps, gametypes ect) will be announced in the coming days.
