If you don't update Punkbuster to the newest version you will get kicked and will not be able to play until you do. Just follow the directions on this link.

So uhm, shouldn't you not have to manually download?

For PB you have to manually update your client.

Only flaw in this game is PB :/

I remember having to do this awhile back with another game that used PB.
Since theres about 10 things to download on the page, and no specific instrustions..
would you mind telling me which one im supposed to DL.

Im like 90% sure its the PBSetup.
PB is such garabge.

You need PBsetup...then make a folder..shove that in.. run it..and the rest is pretty self explanatory

Basically, when you install Bad Company 2, it installs punk buster but then you have to manually update it as others have said in order to not get kicked off servers. I was getting kicked and quickly updated punk buster and I was good to go!

My punkbuster told me to update, I closed the game, went to the website, was confused as hell, didn't download anything, went back into the game, and didn't get kicked for the rest of the night.

I got the game today. I have updeated PB and tryed to download the files to update it. Still when I go into a server i get the Pbuster kick. What am I doing wrong? I get this error when I try to join any server.

PB at least bans on sight not like vac or something but it's annoying cause some programmes may cause it to melfunction
