Patch?

I'm seeing reports of a patch - is this relevant to hard copies of the game or just Steam-downloaded versions? Anyone know about this?

I think it has to do with connection problems some people are experiencing so it probably has to do with all versions. Don't quote me on that because it's just an educated guess. The little ticker at the bottom of the main menu in the game says something about connection problems and they are working on a solution.

Yeah, but if you have the steam version it will be DL'd automatically when you start up steam so you won't have to use the EA DL manager thing :thumbup1:, the other good thing is that when I get home I start up steam and vent, but then do my homework, so if I had the non steam version I would spend an hour or so doing my homework then get on to play, only to find out I have to wait to DL a patch, with the Steam version it just DL's it while I'm doing my homework :thumbup:

Well, it sounds like I'll have to do it the old-fashioned way and patch it up manually.

Servers have been running better today, only 1 crash since I restarted the ones that went offline. Plus the servers are finally saving settings on their side.

EA will iron out the kinks very quick.
