Guys....
We have seen countless threads on the point ranking system for DoD. I'm sure similar feelings are felt in other divisions. I just haven't paid as much attention to them as DoD in the past.
We use HLsX stats. It is something we did not design. In terms of points awarded, it might be a slightly broken system. O well. How would you like to design and implement a stats system? I think that would be difficult and more time consuming than necessary. Also, a self-made system would become too cumbersome to update with bugs, etc. We don't get paid around here to game, so having something else probably isn't practical. HLsX is one of the best systems out there.
My advice to you is to hide the points from showing up when you play. You can do so by using the HLsX menu. Try it. You might be surprised how little then you care about dying. While I understand human nature to be competitive, please consider trying. You might be happy that you do.
While in-game in one of our servers:
1) Input in all chat (y is default) hlx_menu
2) You will see a box pop up on the left side of the screen
3) Press 9 for Next
4) The list of things will change.
5) Press 1 for Console Events
6) The list of things will change.
7) Press 2 for Disable Events
This progression should disable the point ranking from all deaths and kills from ever showing up in all our servers. At least it will disable them for DoD:S. You might need to do the same for the other games too. I haven't checked that out. Hope this helps, and let me know if you need clarification.
