Although I prefer the PS3 hardware over the 360, I like the 360, due to the fact that my friends all own 360's. I would rather play with friends than with nobody I know.

I have both btw but more of my friends play Xbox 360 so i play that now. PS3 is awesome though blu-ray is amazing

PS3, paying $50 a year just to hear 10 year old's scream about how much of a homo I am and how they're in some pro MLG team is stupid. Plus, most of the people I know play the PS3

ehhh i havn't had a problem with immature kids yet on xbox live. Yea paying $50 a year is a bummer but its worth it, only because so many ppl i know have an xbox 360. Literally my whole school has it and like 2 kids have PS3. I just play exclusive games on my PS3 and use it as like a media player. Gran Turismo can't wait.
I personally like the 360 better, but that's because I own one and have never even played the PS3. I only got a 360 because that's what all of my friends have. The initial price of the PS3 was too much and is something I would've never been able to get for a holiday or birthday.

If you think about it. Xbox 360 comes out to be pricier than a PS3. With live and wi-fi adapter and all that crap that should have been included. I just went the ethernet route and put the thing in my room and hooked it up to my PC monitor. Thank god they sold VGA connectors. I can even get my Steelseries Siberia full-size gaming headset to work 
just need to wait for that Xbox 360 headset adapter from steelseries that i ordered to get my MIC to work also at the same time.
They both have their pro's and con's

yea well PS3 isn't serious it's for fun. I play xbox competitively. On xbox i get fanboys. PS3 not so much. That's the difference for me. PC is for fun though. That's why every post i have has LOL or FTW in it. xD

No one does that cause the manuals are now just a controller map, a HUD layout/description, and the credits.

It's difficult to decide.I have a Xbox360 and I really love it but I think both of them have pros and cons.PS3 has the Blue Ray disk which I love but you can also have an HD Xbox360 and watch DVDs in High Definition.Also in the gaming market PS3 has some of the best exclusivity such as Uncharted 2:Among Thieves or God of War 3 and Metal Gear Solid but hey that happens also with the Xbox360 with exclusivity like Halo (and I really can't remember which else)One other of the cons of the Xbox360 is the red ring which happens when the console overheats, after 3-4 hours of continuously gaming and it's really annoying.They say they have fixed this problem and I believe this is true at least for the new consoles.I bought my console last year and I have no problem.At last the Xbox360 is cheaper than PS3 which can be attractive and affordable to lot of people.One other,good or bad thing you decide(bad for me) is that the Xbox360 console can be flashed and you can play pirate games, which of corse is illegal.Well I can't choose so I leave it up to you

To bad HD dvds completely lost the war and were discontinued a whiiilee back. They havn't even been selling the HD dvd player for quite a while.
And to the post above, Xbox 360 is competitive and PS3 is for fun?? what?? Im pretty sure either of them can be competitive or for fun. You can play professional on either console and PC is what started it all. There probably more professional PC gamers.
Either console is good though, i just play Xbox 360 more than my PS3 cuz all my friends have Xbox 360. Though its complete bogus that you have to pay $50 a year for live and a wireless adapter is $100. Hard drives are ridiculously expensive too, almost everything about the Xbox 360 is expensive.
