I don't know about any of you, but I play css, and all other video games in general, so I can get away from math. Math is for school. Every time I play jail, I can assure you that 95% of the trivia questions are "2+2." the other 5% of the questions are other variations of that exact problem.

Also, since when is a math problem trivia?

Another problem about math trivia, ITS BORING. Our jail servers of a year or two ago, which we all know were much more fun, had cts who asked interesting trivia questions. It wasn't always about who could type "4" the fastest, but it was about if you actually knew the answer to a question. That's what trivia is.

So come on guys, lets spice up jail, lose the math trivia, and make it a little more fun for the t's who have to shift walk backwards out of their cell and stay there for 3 minutes.

haha video fail.
i agree tho, math isn't trivia, math is math.
aren't the guards and jail institutions supposed to encourage learning and improvement?

I kind of enjoy the math sometimes, it's because all ages are playing on the servers so if the wardens ask difficult questions it kind of puts the young ones at a disadvantage because most people won't know what the answer is.

I mean yeah, 2 + 2 is way boring, but at least everyone knows the answer to it.

I would say that it would be better if it wasn't always 2+2 or something simple... but whenever a more complicated problem comes up the person who asks it usually doesn't get the right answer, pathetic as it sounds.

I remember one of the few times I played jail, there was a big argument over a problem because the warden didn't understand the order of operations and about half the people in the server sided with him >_>

Also, I don't think it's really a big deal if younger people can't get math problems. After all, the answers to actual trivia questions are only gonna be known by specific groups of people.

Don't be surprised that the jail server is a black hole of education

Not gonna lie but your completely wrong. 95% is not 2+2 and the other 5% is not a variation at all. This doesn't apply to me because I always ask science or history. But today even we had... Lets see... Olympic trivia, TF2 trivia, Star wars trivia, and random fact trivia. So honestly I have maybe seen 10 questions that have been math today.

idk what jail server you play on... on ours its almost some like 2+2, or 2-2, or something just utterly boring and dumb like that, even when the warden announces trivia i guarantee there is at least one person who spams " 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 4" before the question is even asked,

i agree with the point of this topic, math trivia is boring, basically every trivia question is boring, cept for the few awesome original ones.

black hole of education? huh?? wha?? O_O??
and no more math trivia.. or more better.. no more TRIVIA! >:]

Well.. Would you rather get an easy 2+2 question that everyone knows? Or get a really lame question that people just share answers to their friends that no one can answer, because they googled a difficult question.

I have to say, i'd prefer 2+3 wayyy over 'what size bullet does an m249 shoot' ..
=\

My personal favorite math questions are the complex ones. And I'm not talking about the ones where the the answer is 0. I'm talking about the ones that take some thinking.

The worst part about those kind of math questions is that 99% of the time the people asking don't even know the right answer, then people get killed and no one is happy. If you don't know the order of operations by heart and don't know how exponents work especially when dealing with powers that are zero or negative, then don't ask those because you will tick someone off.

I would like to see more variety in trivia questions though.

Trivia questions should not be American (or any other country, for that matter) biased.

For example..

Q. What fast-food company/corporation was the first to have a "drive-thru" window.
A. Jack In The Box

What's Jack In The Box?? :confused1:
