black screen in COD5

Hey all, am having a problem with COD5. When I start the game, and click multiplayer and it switches over I have a brownish/black screen. I can move my mouse up and down and hear it click when it rolls over the buttons on the screen, but can't see anything..Any help would be appreciated.

Go to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Sound, click the 'Recording' tab, right click in the white area and hit "Show Disabled Devices" and enable Stereo Mix.

That did it..I really appreciate it.......how did the sound have anything to do with not having a picture on my screen?

Realtek and COD just don't get along too well. I've had the same problem twice.
