The Immaturity of Some People...

Well as some of you may know I am currently unable to access my own pc because of a flood in my room. Well being away from the servers has been killin me But I thought "Hey why not go to a friends house?" So I did. Unfortunately his CS:S was not working so I thought I would give INS a try. Well I was quick to pick any server because I didn't understand the controls. So I joined one upon joining and playing for around 2 minutes I get this message. "Banned from server permanently reason: Join a better clan. (I of course had my e tag on as always. What I didn't Understand was it was not a clan only server it was a free server open to all. I saw many other clans there as well. So I don't see why someone has to be so immature and ban someone just for being part of eGO... People like this just make me angry... Has this happened to anyone else before? Just thought I would let people know...

I've bumped into some videos in youtube, machinimas about TF2 that occassionally (Not as main topic) they happen to make a sarcastic comment about eGO and our rules, more specifically the rule against cursing.
Some people can't just see the why behind our rules, and they feel like victims after being warned by one of use, proceed to leave the servers and go tell his e-friends what happened.
As you are probably aware, using any kind of logic, common sense rule on the internet is pointless as you'll only get flames back, those who left our servers offended probably think they are right. It's just a bunch of people that couldn't deal with it.

What to do? Nevermind them, there's a lot of servers around.

Yeah, I guess that's a kind of extreme way to show you don't like someone. If you search eGO on steam's website, you'll even find some anti-eGO groups. How odd.

On one hand, I'm sure that server had nothing special about it that no other server has. Would you have stayed if they instead continuously badmouthed you anyway? I'm not saying they're in the right, but maybe it's just better off.

I've been kicked out in some other clan servers, but overall I've found most clans friendly.

yes, i had my eGO tag on playing bfbc2 beta, and i had a guy making fun of us, and at the end of the round when i was 30-9, and he was like 1-25, i said, "wow you really showed me"....he was on the other side...

There are clans out there jealous of our numbers.

On the other hand, they may have bumped into some bad apples (which are inevitable due to the numbers), who haven't taken off their tags. Which may have lead to some generalization of all our members.

A lot of clans don't like eGO because of how much eGO has grown and the fact that our numbers are increasing on a daily basis. They'll be quick to ban any eGO member to make themselves feel good. As many have said, a lot of those individuals who don't like eGO have either been banned from our servers or are just following other members and are "hating" against eGO because of what it has become.

There are tons of other servers, so don't fret just because one server banned you. It shows that they are immature and don't know how to accept the fact that they've been banned, or whatever the issue was.

You'll see this sometimes, I haven't been banned from any server but that is because I only play on eGO servers.

well I'v never been banned from any server for a real reason XD and i haven't been banned since joining ego for the ego tag. and my first run in with you guys ever was in counter strike i was in a clan called SB (very small only like one office server) and there were ego people regularly in there and i also believe seeing ego people in GR clan on counter strike and never notice anyone discriminating against ego

Though i'v been banned for defending a girl in a server that this guy wouldn't leave her alone because she happened to be a girl playing a video game and he banned me and iv been banned several times for "hacking" in counterstrike because i joined servers where the people were horrible and i dominated them and they assumed i was hacking.

Its just immature idiots that get banned for not following our rules. Its our server and we make our rules, if you don't like them, then don't play on our servers.

This is a unfortunate consequence for being such a large community. Much of the anger stems from a couple people that got banned said the wrong thing and it gets misinterpreted and rumors spread. There are several posts in SPUF about bans from eGO and other servers with similar rules. Personally i have not been banned against yet... I say that because eventually it will probably happen, and i have been called out for being eGO in Steam chat saying "I wasn't in control here". Needless that player/person (If i can call him that) was reported and removed from my friend list permanently. For those who it has happened to just brush it off and keep moving forward. The people that ban because they don't like how you play or your community are the ones on "Power Trips" and usually suffer from lack of self confidence. Having the maturity to just get up and walk away from the confrontation in server about being banned or kicked for those reasons shows your maturity. Hope this helps everyone that reads this. I posted a screeny on the Steam TF2 forums once and some eGO's were speaking on the mic in the screenshot and 1 out of every 4 replies were "it's because you're in eGO"

Don't take it personally, it's towards eGO.

It's like this, if you went into a gangs territory and you were an officer of the law, would they let you stay? Probably not. The person who banned you saw you probably as someone who was a goody-two-shoes because you are apart of a great clan that is family oriented.

People say eGO is a noob clan and etc only because eGO tries to make a clan that is family oriented, for all ages. When people are on the internet, they get this false sense of entitlement to everything on the internet, as well as feel like if you don't like what they like you are evil. Because we play fps's and such people think "family-oriented" is idiotic, but those people do not see the reality behind why eGO is family-oriented.

Having a curse free server to play on is nice. Whenever i go to any other server people always say "Wow apart of eGO? What did you have to do play their server once?". Then they do not realize the score is 79 - 17 me, 17 - 79 them. People just think they are tough.

And as said above there are probably some baddies wearing the tag.

I actually found a post on facepunch that is all about how some guy banned eGO members from our own tf2 servers, and how he hacked into them. It also has a bunch of crap from other people bashing eGO.

I <3 eGO it is the best clan i have been apart of yet.

I think the message should have read, "find a better server".
Best course of action is to not feed the trolls, and rise above their level (They hate this). eGO have three other brilliant Insurgency servers so it's no great loss to be banned from such a lame one anyway.
