They do. Just to clarify, I'm not looking for this to be some "downfall" of ego, i actually just want to know if it's a problem on my end, or If ego has gone backwards on it's "no bots" policy.

Maybe that the one that isn't in-game updates slowly, beats me. But we don't use fake player counts or bots, so yeah.

That was me in the server and no specs were there I found that strange too and restarted and update popped up and tf2 will not even run now after it updated.

It must be a problem on your end.
For example, sometimes i see the servers showing 8 players online, but there's really none.

I've seen this, and not just on eGO servers. Does the player list show people in spectator?

Does the player list show people in spectator?

Yes. Currently everyone in PL is in spec and the player list shows 3 people - all of who are in spec. I think the exception is if the server has changed maps and the player hasn't rejoined spec. This was a problem with the Koth/Arena maps - people would try to seed the server, and it wasn't filling, so they weren't being kicked. We were cycling through several maps in a fairly short period (I guess, don't remember for sure), so the player count and the player list didn't add up.

Also the 2fort server had a problem reporting about 4-6 players than were in the server. Several people commented on it and it has been resolved. So no, I don't think we're sneaking in bots.

But maybe someone in leadership or someone on the tech team will see this and can clarify and give a more solid word. ;)

When you're out of ammo, you're dead?

That

The only way you were able to stay connected is probably your auto update didn't kick you out of game and the servers never really shut down to update so that why you probably stayed online.

We are not running bots on our servers. This is, in fact, a technical glitch on the servers that the tech team is currently looking into. That said, I have also observed this issue on at least 1 non-eGO server as well, so we do not seem to be the only ones affected by this glitch.

Leadership is doing what it can to mitigate this issue, but we've got our crack technical team looking into a permanent fix.

Thanks for your concern.
