just released http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IAVSPDDL the guide

this guide below is messy and not very attractive this guide in the link has pictures of all the maps their desc and a link to that page in the TOC

Some new tips and some tips I found from a show about the Vietnam War I think.

working on a TOC

  1. Panama Canal
  2. Port Valdez
  3. Valparaiso Village
  4. Atacama Desert
  5. Arica Harbor
  6. White Pass
  7. Nelson Bay
  8. Laguna Presa
  9. MISC
  10. Explosives
  11. Kits/classes
  12. good player made hiding spots/ sniper spots in general

1

2 on port Valdez, snipe people as they're parachuting down; free kills.

-----------------------------------------------------------

3 on valpariso, don't be stupid with the UAV... park it on a mountain/behind a tree-line until it's missile is refreshed, target key sniping/defending locations and tear them part. Create a hole in the back-left building of the first objectives that's behind A building so your chopper can drop squad members there. if you're confident enough, zoom through the forest roadkilling campers ^_^.

You're first missile should ALWAYS be the building B machine gun, i don't care if there's 9 peopel grouped together and you'll definitely kill them all for an amazingly awesome win of winning epicness or whatever, that machine gun will oblieterate anyone that tries getting near B and gives the defending team an easy way to defend oncoming attackers from that area (it's a 180 degree arc on the mount, so that's quite some distance). The only reason i say this is because you'll be the first person there, and that means you're going to prevent about 4-5 tickets being lost by dropping that stupid gun in the first place.

Arica harbor- defender- last stand
engineer with at mines. Place an at mine near b or in front of the stair way. Now climb up the stairs JUST enough so you can see the AT mine. when a player goes up to arm just blow it up 9 time out of 10 it will work.

Arica harbor- attacker- last stand
Threes water for a reason... if you seem to keep getting killed trying to go over the mounds and what not just hop into the water. If you are patient enough, swim right to the shore of their spawn.

Arica harbor- attacker- last stand
Most of you know that you can blow up the front of the building to get into A well make sure to just blown ONE hole. Once 1 or 2 people go in (make sure you know their names) just sit out in front, get the attackers that come out to camp and what not. Try to rally up 2 or more people and if you see that one of your teammates where killed after it was planted just go in (or nade it first)

Arica harbor- both sides any time
SQUAD UP you can spawn near your teammates. Which you can easily provide, health, ammo, support (sniper or just in general). In many buildings you can just camp near the points and your squad mates can just keep spawning there.

ARICIA HARBOR Another little tip is that the tank can sit at the bridge as attacker and arc the tank shell to slam into B (takes some very precise shooting and have your gunner zoom in to spot for you).

HARBOR for defenders, if you know a base is going to be lost soon find a hiding spot and wait (I recommend that you don?t try to pick off people until you have lost even then wait 1-3 minutes make sure you can?t see any team mates near their area), maybe have 1 squad member pop up on you but that's it (the others need to defend). When the time comes, blow up UAV station and kill any stragglers behind the initial wave of attackers with their own tank when it spawns. Potentially you could steal a hummer and a tank and just run the hummer up onto the hilltop and park it above the sniper area to just minigun them down, but that'd require some lucky driving and luck of not being seen in the process.

Place AT mines under your tanks on arica harbor as defenders, sucks to be the guy ninja'ing them huh...

the UAV absolutely wrecks people on laguna btw, spotting people behind bushes = insta-death typically if your team has decent snipers since the range is so small between them and the enemy (think insta-headshot aiming just below the spot triangle?).

Tanks on laguna are fodder for ambushes, so blow up every piece of brush/tree/house/hell shoot the water a few times to clear a path JUST for the tank (don't destroy all your team's cover being a paranoid noob...)

defenders on laguna should do the following:
-2 squad members = engineer, one with the guided rocket, the other with AT mines
-1 squad member = assault wih 40mm Smoke
-1 squad member = medic for m60 lulz or recon with motion tracker and common sense

basically do this after ^ that. Place AT mines in an triangle pattern where you think the tank will be at, proceed to spot the tank. Your other engineer is going to need to be fairly precise in his guided missile ownage but he needs to guide a missile so that it looks like it's coming from the direction parallel or behind the tank, hitting it would make it back up and move it from the trap, soooo.... up to you. (half health = dead tank from guided with explosive upgrade). Your recon needs to be spotting/scoping anyone that even looks at the trap and your assault should smoke the tank's barrel if possible (it stays on the tank if you hit it just right) to effectively blind them. If they get out and you're close enough, jack the tank and dodge your trap then when they follow, shoot the trap with the tank gun(s) and laugh at your ever-sweet victory. This was alot more info than i thought it was... lol

laguna enforces junglebunny skills, use them. Hop around all up in the jungle until you find an unlucky person and just make their life miserable because chances are they think they're safe behind that tiny bush.

AT mines work in water, it's pretty hilarious seeing boats fly through the level.

Playing "bare neccessities" is required to play on the laguna map, i highly recommend this.

do not for any reason what-so-F'ing-ever destroy the back-left "tower" on the 3rd set of objectives as attackers (defenders should just C4 it and laugh). This vantage point allows easy coverage of A and B for your snipers with quite a hefty amount of protection to boot.

you can jump on top of trees... yes really...

backdooring on laguna is retarded simple so you should abuse it 100% of the time.

Only attack enemy spawn locations if you know for sure you can maintain a 3:1 K/D ratio, because otherwise you're just wasting tickets and pissing people off. 3:1 for the following reason(s?).
1) you're not attacking (-1 attacker)
2) you're not defending the plant (-1 defender on plant)
3) you die... baddie... (-1 ticket)

3... attacking team's got every right to be pissed if you just throw away the opportunity you attempted to create for them. Don't get mad, just get a bit better and keep trying.

MISC TACTICS

ALL MAPS ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, blow up walls to drop buildings onto objectives as attackers, why bother fighting and wasting tickets over an objective you can just drop a building on? - Good point
BUT to add you need to get all sides of the house to destroy it. One mortar strike and a few tanks or rpgs should make it keel over :D (EXAMPLES COMING SOON)

in tanks... run people over... it's fun - 100 percent right "ROADKILL" (EXAMPLES COMING SOON)

Another tip for tank drivers... AT mines hurt (ONE explosion always works), don't run over them and LOOK FOR THEM!

For quad-bike people, during a long jump or a high jump over enemy buildings/hills/etc... swap seats constantly to avoid getting sniped (it really pisses them off...) (EXAMPLES COMING SOON)

Always be mindful of your parachute, it's quite visible and my 40mm loves shooting at walls that have parachutes behind them :D :D

snipers like your knife, they also don't pay attention to what's around them typically, sneak up and have fun; my personal favorite is killing them with the 40mm smoke grenade at point blank range.

To counter this above tactic snipers your not stealthy enough to avoid a knife ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS SHOOT turn around or something like that

when using a shotgun, the accuracy + magnum ammo = epic levels of random headshots

engineers should place AT mines under debris and in shadows on maps that permit it (EXAMPLES COMING SOON)

you can hide on top of flaming/smoking vehicles that have been destroyed, it's great. (EXAMPLES COMING SOON)

C4 booby trap buildings enemy's typically hide in. Wait for people to be running/passing through and blow the inner walls out then re-trap and take out the rest of the walls (leave 1 if you think you can manage another trap). Collapse building on 3rd trap if you are capable of it, kinda hard to plan it 100%.

SHOOT THE DAMNED UAV!

tanks don't like missile AT stations, you should C4/AT mine them before your tank gets massacred by the 50+ damage they do (with explosive upgrade, it's around 59-67 depending on where they hit).

people who are masters of the chopper should take the 360 smk upgrade from the vehicle kit (assuming you're FLYING THE CHOPPER), this effectively lets you land, smoke the area, drop a squad to repair quick, then haul ass away just as smoke ends (no ranom sniper blowing your head up or engineer sending a rocket to the chopper). You also have enough time to drop the spot they have on your chopper and they can't re-spot while the smoke is up unless they get lucky or something.

in regards to running onto shore at their spawn as attacking team, you go out of bounds right as you touch shore, and the rocks are difficult to jump to to get back in bounds; running around is risky due to spawning defenders.

Another little tip is that the tank can sit at the bridge as attacker and arc the tank shell to slam into B (takes some very precise shooting and have your gunner zoom in to spot for you).

I've won rounds using ^ that method.

for those that enjoy pointless deaths; crouching in the water on the beach in arica harbor will kill you via drowning, enjoy.

also you can blow up B from below by putting C4 on the ceiling on the last stand for attackers

"on port Valdez, snipe people as they're parachuting down; free kills."

lololol

I've had two sniping headshots while being the one parachuting down.

Aim for the pilot of enemy helicopters if you have no weapon capable of damaging the vehicle itself. Twice now I've headshotted the pilot (one as recon, one as assault) and watched the chopper plummet down killing those too slow to bail out.

Sadly I didn't get points for the passengers that died in the crash ><

so i played laguna, there's just way too many places to hide to list so i'll just sum it up and say not to run across a stream of bullets in plain sight.

defenders on port valdez should AT mine random places since 1 AT mine that's been shot can kill people in one hit (err... big ass explosion...) and all the kills count towards your gun.

Oh here's a fun one! Set an AT mine near an enemy UAV spawn location (not the terminal they use, but the ACTUAL spawn location for the chopper) and it'll blow up, giving you a kill and a destroy vehicle (2) and damage vehicle (1) bonus when the UAV is spawned by someone not paying attention. This obviously doesn't work in some certain areas, but for the most part it's accuracte.

Beware of flying Noxx_'s his CG from a chopper is accurate and hurts :(

going to go do something else, pissed cuz my game keeps crashing :/

om poopy thanks DMG

Added TOC type thing.

With this much info I might as well make a PDF of it. once I get atleast 1 thing for every map I will make a PDF

Hmm... Giant smoke field. It has shadows in it. Lets shoot at it. *KABOOM* Interesting... Maybe i should try that next time too...

Aim for the pilot of enemy helicopters if you have no weapon capable of damaging the vehicle itself.

M95 Does do damage to the chopper if you have it.

And as for my addition to the parade. Get a UAV with smoke. Get someone to put 12 C4s on it. Drive UAV to point. Use smoke to cover. Blow C4. The objective has been destroyed. Congratulations.

Ok adding UAV thing..... also the ebook is almost done.
I know I dont have tips for all maps but the ebook is always open for edits

IF i played bc2, im sure i would use some of this.

Good job to mildhotsauce for putting so many tips together.

I'm sure people like it, but i'm also sure we need to improve it greatly before we can create a more "official" version that's fine-tuned and far more logically detailed in the tips and whatnot.

And in regards to the PM about screencaps and videos, i'd love to, but i have such an instable system with this game at the moment it's retarded (i can play anywhere from 5 mins to 5 hours at a time, no telling when it'll crash). To "resolve" this, I'm gonna be playing on my brother's computer (Brisbie in-game for those who're familiar, he really needs to join eGO : / ).
This should allow me time enough to grab some much-needed footage and screencap-age from the game; however, i have to purchase an extra HD for his computer first so the quality of the video isn't absolute ass to watch. I'm posting this here instead of in a PM back to you because i think other people should know the plan as well :) and maybe they could contribute also in some way.

Thanks for putting it all together by the way mild, looking good so far :D

Sorry for the double-post, but I think I'll be uploading some youtube videos (in perfectly bad quality of course) to show off a few other places/things you're capable of in BFBC2. My system ran smooth last night for ~4-5 games (10 rounds ~ 3 hours).

Gotta give some thanks to ravage though, cuz he showed me a place that i didn't think to look and it led to some other nice spots for sniping.

Laguna:

-rooftops are fun and give clear line of sight to the UAV terminal
-some treetops in the map can be jumped on and are amazing hiding spots (people apparently don't look up very often).
-after first objectives are destroyed, you can run along the left side (as defenders) of the map to get a clear line of sight through the entire attackers base as any class.
-tank + hill + bullet drop = massive amounts of win (applies to all maps really...)
-...UAV bombing is apparently very effective; lol
-there's a clipping issue on laguna near a certain point where the rocks meet a dock/pier that enables you to slide under the dock, yet your actual hitbox is behind the rock itself. This would be ban-worthy had it not been for the fact that you can't really abuse it at all. The shots you make count as if they're coming from the rock, and deal no damage, even when hitting people point blank range (unloaded full M60 clip into 3 different people). Those people never found me due to the clipping issue, but it proves the point of how completely worthless of a glitch this is. I found it interesting though, lol.
-as defenders, blow up the bridge, AT mine the ramp, camp the stairs; to the 3rd set of objectives, it's a sure-fire way to piss off the attackers. (only throw 1-2 AT mines at once and MAKE SURE THEY'RE UNDER WATER....)
-if you knife while jumping from a high place and it "lunges" to a person's character; you take no fall damage, but the knife won't register since you're moving too fast.
-going to repeat this some more... AT mines go under water; no excuses. They're virtually invisible until it's too late for any vehicle traveling in water. This method of defending can effectively lock an enemy out of progressing with a tank or water transport on some of the map's areas. Plus you get lots of double/triple kills, and those make me smile ear to ear :]

Again with the tips. Im heading out in a couple so I dont have time to put all of it in. I will pm you the original document. Just tell me what you made edits to and what not. ALSO what do think as far as layout. I think to be more space I might make it so every map has two pages then a page in between just as a breaker or MISC stuff...... wow your stats are impressive (considering your the only person I have ever looked at bc2 stats. J00 play alot

I really don't play a whole lot anymore due to my system crashing thanks to the latest patch; i've been playing on my brother's account (Brisbie, I FINALLY GOT HIM TO JOIN EGO!!!! :P ).

Anywho, appreciate the compliment :) and i'll look into it sometime later today/tomorrow about the layout and editing and whatnot.
