Title: Kick-Ass

Director: Matthew Vaughn
Story: American teenager wants to become a superhero and a bunch of crazy stuff happens.
Review: This ultra-violent and ultra-stylized adaptation of Mark Millar's (also see Wanted) comic series is pretty entertaining. Vaughn does a decent job at creating a hyper-kinetic larger than life world filled with colorful yet incredibly violent characters. The two big standout are Chlo? Grace Moretz the 13 year old, foul mouth Hit Girl and Nic Cage who play Big Daddy. Cage really hams it up and looks to be having a ton of fun in his role, while Moretz does an amazing job for a child actress. All in all the film is style over substance, but entertaining none the less.

I was eventually planning on doing a Vlog series on movies, but I'm too lazy/busy to get around to it.
Damn that's a tall order...and just for that you're getting all three Matrix films.

Story: Justice is coming to Tombstone.
Review: A part a quasi-resurgence of Westerns that showed up in the late 80's and early 90's. This film has a cast that makes me laugh just thinking about it, not because they are bad...but it's just they're all usually in camp movies. Anyway it's a fun western, but nothing all that special when it comes to this genre.

Review: Right off of Leone's Dollar Trilogy, Eastwood does something a little different. In this role he trouble find him, even though he doesn't want it. Smart revisionist western that is very enjoyable.

Story: We learn the important lesson of why we shouldn't messing with Russel Crowe.
Review: The first epic of the last decades is one that is easily overlooked, but shouldn't be. The film is really damn good, with great acting jobs by everyone involved. Scott once again does a great job creating ancient Rome. This is a visual spectacle and a great film.

Review: Basically the movie that started off the whole Buddy Cop thing. Lethal Weapon is a really entertaining and action packed film. Featuring the now legendary team up between Gibson and Glover. A must see for any action fan.

Review: The surprisingly good follow up to Lethal Weapon pits the gang against the then villainous South Africans...this was back during apartheid. That action is great and I seem to remember someone getting decapitated by a Surf-Board...so hell yeah.

Review: Here is a bad sign, I can't really remember this film. I know I've seen it, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's about. I remember a kind of entertaining scene where Gibson and Russo compare battle scars...other than that not much.

Review The fourth and probably final Lethal Weapon is fun, but overtly formulaic. Not much else to say here, if you replace the South Africans of the 2nd film with Jet Li...then you pretty have this.

Review: This movie wasn't made for me. I'm serious, I don't know much about cars and I really don't need to my car to go all that fast. Though it's fun and entertaining. Also this is the only film of the series that I've actually seen.

Review: A hit or miss parody of the Lethal Weapon movie is for the most part more hit than miss. Like other parody films of this era (you know...when they were funny), the jokes come fast and mostly comprise of sight gags, double entendres and slap-shtick. The cast is well put together and for the most part funny. There is also a long list of celebrity cameos.

Review: Completely mistaken with Lethal Weapon, this is the first Buddy-Cop comedy/action film. I saw this a long time ago and only once so by what I can remember it was an enjoyable film. Never saw the sequel.

Review: Groundbreaking wire-fu bullet time metaphorical action extravaganza is the best thing the Wachowskis ever did and probably will ever do. The film was basically the perfect film to cap off the last century. This one has been put down a lot recently due to its sequels, which isn't exactly fair. This is a great film, no matter how crappy it's sequels are.
