Title: The Transporter

Story: A profession Transporter(?) gets caught up in a ridicules situation, which eventually requires him to use martial arts.

Review: Fun but campy as hell, this Jason Statham vehicle has pretty much become a cult film. The action is over the top, the plot is nonsensical, and the acting ranges from terrible to Jason Statham(that means whatever you want it to). This isn't my favorite Statham film, but it sure as hell beats the sequels.

I watched How I Won the War and absolutely hated the movie. Since then I vowed not to watch any film that has to do with the Beatles.

Story: Something to do with bounty hunters and...I don't even know.

Review: Domino is one bad movie and this isn't my usual Tony Scott bashing. It has such a convoluted and nonsensical plot that it's nearly impossible to get everything straight. The movie actually reminds me a little of Smokin' Aces where the filmmakers packed way to much into the plot and it wound up hurting the film. Though Smokin' Aces was better than Domino, so go see Smokin' Aces.

hey beast, i noticed u havent reviewed bullitt, so im wondering if youve ever seen that movie? ive heard its a great movie from the late 60's. im watchin it right now.

I hate to admit it, but I'm pretty deficient in Steve McQueen movies.
 
Well from what I saw, Bullitt was an OK movie. Aside from the infamous car chase that everyone talks bout, I really dont see what was so big bout the movie. Gotta admit that the end was a bit lame. Then again, thats what you get for late 60's acting work. I still need to see all of the great escape movie.

Yeah, I figured it'd be a little disappointing. Still I have to see it due to the cultural significance that the film has. The Great Escape on the other hand is a brilliant film that is fully worth watching.

Damn, good timing. The Big Lebowski is the next on my list of Coen Brothers films.

Story: The Dude is mistaken for a rich man whose name is Lebowski by some mussel of a local porn king...and they urinate on the Dudes rug. Then the Dude goes to Lebowski to see if he can get a new rug and manages to get caught up in a kidnapping. Some other stuff happens, good stuff, but there is no way I can summarize all of this movie.

Review: This movie is probably the biggest cult film that the Coen's have come out this. It seem that you can ask most people in a college based setting and they've seen this one, though ask them about any other Coen brothers film and you get blank stares. The set up for the film is pretty funny and gets better as the situations become more and more ridicules. Jeff Bridges does a great job in his now iconic role, though the films supporting cast of characters are far more memorable. Like Peter Stormare as the German Nihilist, Philip Seymour Hoffman's grant, or John Turturro's Jesus...non-Spanish pronunciation. Easily the best comedy the Coen bothers have done and probably their most lighthearted.

That film has possibly the greatest car chase scene in the history of cinema.
 
Hey man. I haven't read through all the million pages here, so I apologize if this is a re-request.

However, I looked through the first little index page (quite impressive) and I was disturbed to find a distinct lack of pulp fiction. You've got Inglourious Basterds... why not one of the most influential Tarentino flicks ever made?
