Review: Great, but not well known Pacino film about a trial lawyer who has a bad streak when it comes to his clients. Well acted and well scripted. It's a quasi-moral play, but none the less a great film.

Story: "If a slap don't work, you cut 'em or you pay 'em, but you keep your receipts, cos this ain't the Mafia."

Review: After a disastrous couple of years of being married to Madonna, during which he directed some really bad movies. Ritchie is back doing what he does best, London centric crime films. This one is pretty entertaining, but pretty convoluted...more so than his previous films. It also goes on just a little bit too long. Even with all those strikes against it, I still hope to see a sequel.

Story: It's like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels...except the card game has been replaced with a boxing match, the guns are replaced with a Diamond and the pot is replaced by Gypster vengeance.

Review: Ritchie's second film is a lot like his first, except there is more money behind the production and bigger named actors. Unfortunately it lacks the charm and the freshness of the first film. The characters are sort of likable, but many of them we're left just not caring about. The plot is also more convoluted than the first movie and not as well tied together.

Story: The Unicorn man...the Unicorn.

Review: I'm doing a two fold review on this one. The first on the theatrical cut and the second on the 2007 final cut.

1. This is a situation where a film studio can butcher a film. Scenes were cut, Ford's tired and dull voice over was thrown in, the Unicorn was removed and they gave it a happy ending. Damn what a mess. Sure the same basic story is here, but its watered down and hindered by the changes made. I saw this version first and I really hated it. DO NOT WATCH THE THEATRICAL CUT.

2. In 2007 the film came out with an extensive restoration done and some new content was added. Scott had compete creative control and it clearly shows. This is a perfect example of what can happen to a film if it is restored to the directors original idea. This is Blade Runner as it was originally intended to be and in the definitive cut we are given a modern day classic. A brilliant look into the what it actually means to be human and the definitive Techo-Noir film.

Review: Hey Zemeckis, you know those CGI films you've been crapping out recently? Yeah those, ****ing stop it. They all blow and will never be as good as your live action stuff. Oh, and one other thing; for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT make that sequel to Roger Rabbit. Seriously I will hunt you down and decapitate you.

Story: The story doesn't matter here.

Review: This is the most appropriately titled film ever. The name of the game here is: Ridicules over the top action. In a throw back to an actually more violent film, Hard Boiled, Clive Owen is reluctantly stuck with protecting a baby from Paul Giamatti and his almost endless supply of henchmen. When this set up works, it works great. When the set up goes sour, it nearly has the ability of ruining the film. There are several groan inducing, eye rollingly stupid moments in this film that knock this one down a few points. Still it's an entertaining action film and one that I recommend.

Story: This is not a zombie movie.

Review: If memory servers me right this is the film that restarted the Zombie genre...despite the fact that it isn't a zombie film. Even with that glaring handicap, this is a highly effective and intense horror movie experience. Boyle does a damn great job at ratcheting up the tension of the film. Highly recommended to horror movie fans.
