[Sexy Beast]

Story: Still not a Zombie movie.

Review: This is the sequel to 28 Days Later, duh. Here is a shocker, this is actually a quality movie. I mean holy crap, right? This one is also an effective and brutal horror (non-zombie) film. Though not as good as the original Boyle/Garland effort.

Story: He like destroys a town.

Review: This is one of the smarter action films out there. Dealing with a reluctant hero who is being a persecuted by the law enforcement of a small town and eventually the national guard. The movie is a grand metaphor about how the American public treated the veterans who returned from the Vietnam War. The action isn't stylized, but brutal and you get the clear sense of clear desperation on the part of the protagonist. It also has on the most emotional endings found in an action film. None of these elements are present in the sequels.

Director: Sylvester Stallone

Story: Rambo is back baby.

Review: The first Rambo movie in twenty years is hard a quantify. On one hand it's kind of nice to see that Stallone is having a self-created comeback, on the other hand this Rambo movie is a little forgettable. Well except for it's violence. God damn is it violent. The issue is...I really didn't like the Rambo movies after First Blood and this was unfortunately not an exception. The reasons are stated in my review of First Blood.

Story: A British topographer changes the world.

Review: This movie is pretty much the definition of epic. Just the idea of telling this story in a single film is a lofty notion. It's hard to find words to describe just how breath taking the cinematography is. Not to mention Peter O'Toole, who does an amazing job portraying the tribulations of his character. If you can make it through the three and a half hour running time then see this movie. You wont be dissapointed.

Review: This one is hard for me to objectively review. I've seen it only once, back when I was forced to sit through it at the tender and short attention spanned age of 13. So I'll do the only thing that I feel I can do...I'm not gunna review. This space is saved for when I have a chance to see it again.

Its my dad's favorite film so I first saw it when i was 10. Since that time It has to be my second most watched movie ever only second to Star Wars: the Empire Strikes Back.

Although I didnt watch it many times to enjoy it. I wrote a paper on it for a course I was taking History Through Film; the paper was about how the film portrayed the Russian Revolution so I watched it like 12 times for that paper lol.

Review: An engaging and brilliant WWII drama. The film is incredibly will shot and well acted. The film deals with British and American POWs being forced to build a railroad bridge, the Japanese who are forcing them to do this, a British officer who has deluded himself into helping the Japanese and a commandos force sent out to destroy the bridge. The whole film is incredibly well done and a big recommendation from me.

Its my dad's favorite film so I first saw it when i was 10. Since that time It has to be my second most watched movie ever only second to Star Wars: the Empire Strikes Back.

Well 13 was the age my mom decided that I start learning about film...and Dr. Zhivago was one of them. Out of all the films she showed me, Dr. Zhivago was the one that resonated the least. So I'll try to catch it on TV when it's on and watch it.

Also...I really can't start with Empire.

Review: This is it...this is the movie that started the most successful entertainment franchise ever. It's kind of hard to believe just how good this film is. Everything about this is great, I know I've said this before...but this is different. This is a level of greatness that is hard to achieve, but this one is overshadowed by another Star Wars film.

Review: I have to lay this down right now. This is the best Sci-fi film ever made. Yeah, I know there is 2001, but this one is better. It's kind of hard to quantify the quality of this film in just a short review, so I wont try.

I thought this movie was far superior to First Blood part II and the third Rambo. Whereas those two were more focused on stylized action and over the top situations the most recent one did have some slight similarities to the first one. In someways it reconnects with the depth of character of the first John Rambo, but only during a minute long flashback/montage of the older films lol.

I also dig your review of Crank 2!

True Lies is also one of my favorite action films from the 90s. it follows along the same lines as The Last Action Hero as it is a parody of every Arnold Schwarzenegger film ever made while at the same time starring the famed action hero. Only this time taken to even more ridiculous lengths. Only James Cameron could pull that off

I'd also like to hear your take on Memento (Christopher Nolan, 2001).

Story: I want to be the very best, that no one ever was.

Review: I hated this one at the tender age of 11. That's right, my 11 year old self, who loved Pok?mon, could tell that this movie sucked. The story follows a rouge, misanthropic and sociopathic Pok?mon Mewtwo who concocts some crazy plan to take over the world. The plan fails and the audience is taught a lesson about loving one another or something...it's pretty sappy. It's really a terrible film and pretty much killed my young self's love for Pok?mon.

Story: It's the best worst movie. Or at least one of them.

Review: This is the kind of movie where you watch with a group of friends and maybe a bottle or two of your favorite booze. Watch it already drunk of devise drinking games to go along with it. Cus heavens knows there isn't anyway you can enjoy this sober and alone. Fall strictly into the it's so bad its good category. All you have to remember is that the film is really really bad.
