Story: God damn is Willem Dafoe is creepy.

Review: The true story of Bob Crane, better known as Hogan on the TV show Hogan's Heroes. Crane was a christian family man until he meets Dafoe's character who leads him down a road of sex addiction and some truly perverse behavior. This is a well made film and well acted by Greg Kinnear who plays Crane...though the real star here is Dafoe who plays one of the creepiest people who ever lived. Seriously you will never see Dafoe the same way again after this film.

Have you seen Tokyo Gore Police?
I have seen bits and pieces of it and was wondering if its worth getting it.

No...I haven't see Tokyo gore, but I'll try to find a good proxy for it.

Story: A school girl seeks revenge against a Yakuza clan.

Review: This film is gory for the sake of being gory and campy for the sake of being campy...and it works. The film is funny in a crazy over the top way. Get a group of friends together, pop in the DVD and enjoy.

Story: Many call it the greatest film ever made...but is it?

Review: The answer to the above question is...sort of. This is definitely in the running for all time greatest film. The film is brilliantly...and I do mean brilliantly shot and incredibly well acted. It could also be one of the ballsiest films ever made.

The character of Charles Foster Kane is based on William Randolph Hearst, who was kind of a big shot back then. By big shot...I mean he was one of the forces who started the Spanish-American War. Just wrap Rupert Murdoch and Ted Turner into one person and you would have Hearst. So when he heard that a film was being made about him...that was portraying him in a not so positive light. He did everything in his power to make sure that the film didn't see the light of day. Despite Hearst's best efforts the film did see the light of day. He even killed whatever chance the film had of winning an Oscar, though it did win Best Writing...and that's enough for this History lesson.

Now the question is: Am I going to bestow it with a 10/10? I almost feel obligated to give it that, I mean it was like the greatest film ever made. So yeah:

Story: Batman Vs. The Joker Vs. Two Face. Or the duality of man.

Review: Bloated and Overrated, TDK came barreling out of gates two years ago and has left a positive impression on most people. For me, I felt that the movie was, just ok...not great and not the second coming most people had painted it to be. The issue is that the plot simply isn't coherent enough to convey the complex themes that the film is flaunting. That, and the running time is way to long. One of the bright spot is Ledger's performance as the Joker. Also the film is well directed and edited.

Director: Nacho Vigalondo

Story: It's a story about an average man and his experiences with paradoxes if Time Travel.

Review: A smart little thriller about your average Joe manages to get stuck in a loop of traveling back in time over the course of one afternoon and Evening. The film's strength is with it's cleaver story and it's brilliant use of time travel as a plot device. The film is also competently shot and acted. If you happen to come across this and if you don't mind subtitles, then give it a watch.

Director: Terrence Malick

Story: Sort of based on the Starkweather killing spree.

Review: An incredibly well told tale about a young couple who go on a cross-country killing spree. This is Malick's first film and thus far his best. The cinematography is spectacular and so is the up beat score the plays a great juxtaposition to the violence that is happening on screen. It's truly a great peice of American film making and really needs to be watched by more people.

Story: "I loved it when you nuked Las Vegas. Suitably biblical ending to the place, don't you think?"

Review: The story of a teenager who inadvertently hacks into a NORAD computer and touches off what well could be WWIII. This one is vintage Cold War era and as such...its aged a bit. The concept that someone could inadvertently hack into NORAD while looking for free games is whimsical at best, even for back when this film was released. Still, it's a fun movie and one that's worth watching.

Agreed, its another one of those Iconic films even if it does have its flaws, onced watched you will always know the phrase "would you like to play a game" spoken in computer generated voice of course.

Story: When a treasure map to a massive treasure surfaces, everyone and their mother decided to go after it.

Review: This highly stylized, high action, quasi-western is brought to us by the guys who did Tale of Two Sisters. The plot is massive in breath and joyfully convoluted. This is incredibly entertaining import and an all around fun film. There are a few slow points, but the amount of action and the quality of the action definitely makes up for that.

Review: Ehh...yeah. I know I've seen this one, but for the life of me I can't remember a thing about it. I tried to read the plot on Wikipedia to refresh my memory and then I noticed how long it was....who in the hell has that much time on their hands to summarize the plot of a Direct-to-Video Scooby-Doo on Wikipedia. I mean holy christ, it's 1500 words long...That's like writing a paper on Scooby-Doo. WTF?
