Story: Sandra Bullock pretends to be the fiancee of a man who is in a coma.

Review: Oh, hey look, a Rom-com...and a good one at that. In the cute comedy about lonely Chicago railroad clerk who gets mistaken as the fiancee of a man that she saves. The man's family instantly fall in love with her and she doesn't have it in her to tell the truth...oh, and she totally falls for Bill Pullman. It's an engaging and entertaining tale. Bullock does a great job, as well as the rest of the cast. If you want to see a Rom-com then this is one of the better choices that are out there.

Story: The first slasher film.

Review: Do you know what sucks about watching this film? Everything. It's not the films fault, Psycho is an amazing film. The problem is that the film is so damn iconic that all the scares are ruined. The shower scene is suppose to be shocking and surprising, but I saw it a million times before I saw the film. Every twist, every shocking moment, everything about this movie has been shown out of context hundreds of time on television or parodied in the cartoons I grew up on. There is no way to escape having this movie ruined for you.

Hell, Hitchcock knew that the strength of the film was in having the audience surprised and not to have anything ruined. His whole add campaign was about getting to the theater on time and not ruining any of the twist by telling it to your friends. >.<

Story: Heston Vs. Apes

Review: In this strange epic, Heston and a group of scientist crash land on an alien planet only to find that humans exist, but are feral...and apes exist also, but they are intelligent. The films plot is pretty cleaver and very intelligent, most of which is owed to its source material. This is an unmitigated classic and must be seen.

Like youve said in a previous post, remakes are never as good or better than the original. I will admit that ive seen parts of the remake of the original & will give it a 6 at best. It just doesnt compete w/ Heston & the original. Ill give Mark Wahlberg credit in that he gave a great performance, but it just doesnt do the original any justice.

By the way, I noticed your review on Finding Nemo. I would personally like you to review your favorite Pixar film, so I can understand more about you sir.

Last night I killed my laptop, don't ask how. Now I'm going to have to fight an uphill battle against Bestbuy to try and get them to honor the warranty that I wisely bought.

So up dates will definitely slow down from their previous rate, but none the less will continue.

Director: Spike Lee

Story: A man has 25 hours before he is sent to prison for the next seven years.

Review: I don't like Spike Lee, the man is a self indulgent a** who believes the world revolves around him. Despite that, he has made a few good movies, the 25th Hour being one of them. The tale is an introspective one as our protagonist gets prepared for the life on the inside and takes stock of his life. It's a well presented film and a well acted one too. Norton, as usual, does a great job in his role.

Good review!
I completely agree with regards to Spike Lee, he is an a** but I respect his work. I really enjoyed Philip Seymour Hoffman and Barry Pepper in this film as well, I thought they did a great job with their characters.
 
How about "Once Upon A Time in The West" One of the best westerns of all time? Made by the master of Spaghetti Westerns, Sergio Leone staring Henry Fonda and Charles Bronson!!!

Director: Sergio Leone

Story: ...No, you brought two too many.

Review: Technically Leone's masterpiece, but still less entertaining than The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The film has maybe 3 or so story lines playing at the same time so I'll avoid summarizing them. Cinematography wise, this is standard Leone, with the impossibly close ups on the actors faces or a million other things that are standard for a Leone film. Acting is great too, though you'll notice when someone on screen is being dubbed over. This is an excellent western that might be a little to slow for some viewers or might go on a little too long.
