Review:This is my favorite Nam film. It's fantastically shot, written and acted. There are a lot of people out there who would argue that this is only one half a good movie. Their argument being that the second half of the film does not stand up to the first. I disagree with them, in the second half the pacing changes, but the quality does not. From a film making view point the second half of the film is by far and away the most impressive, especially when you look at the sets during the final battle sequence. It's almost like Kubrick destroyed a whole city for that scene.

Review: For those of you who were paying attention during the trailer for the new Nightmare on Elm street then you'd have noticed that Micheal Bay produced that remake. This would be all fine and dandy if this was the only one...but it's not. Bay also produced that really s***y Friday the 13th movie and that bad The Amityville Horror remake...and that remake to The Hitcher. So you can partially blame Micheal Bay for ruining horror films.
Anyway this is Craven at his best, he never really manages to top this film. He does get close with Scream, but that's about it.

When i went to see Clash of the Titans with some of my friends and the trailer for the new Nightmare on Elm Street came on and as soon as it said "Produced by Micheal Bay" I groaned, however I also heard like 30 other people groan.
This made me satisfied; only temporarily though because the next thing I heard was like 50 people whispering that they should go see the film when it comes out...
he should just stick with the transformers saga

Story: It's a metaphor of apartheid. Get it? Apartheid, is bad.
Review: There is a certain point in this movie where humans become the consistence of water balloons. It was at that point that I found myself laughing so hard that I nearly passed out from a lack of oxygen.
The plot is a thinly veiled metaphor of apartheid, which is bad...and the film lets us know its bad...even though most members in the audience would have agreed that apartheid is bed before they saw the film. Oh, and there is a plot hole so large that you could almost fit the aliens ship through it...and that hole nearly kills the film. Still this is a pretty entertaining film from Blomkamp and Jackson.

My friends at school all loved Transformer 2 and they made me watch it about 4 times throughout the year. Every time it just got worse.
I guess this trend of Michael Bay love makes sense. He makes films for the average person who isn't looking for a lot of depth in the film. These people are satisfied with attractive women, and terrible action editing. Oh and robots who are characatures of black people whether it be the whiling break dancing Jazz or the Googly eyed, grilled toothed twin autobots. Oh closet racism.
My hate for Michael Bay stems from the fact that I hate the way he does action in his films.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent [film] were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having [watched] it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

your 2nd paragraph, which i agree that most people are, is partly due to the fact that they not only rarely get outta the house, but also their taste for movies has declined rapidly. back in early 2000 michael bay was on fire w/ his movie bad boys, but after that, something in him stopped making sense when it came to making great cinematography. his inner self needs to wake up if hes gonna continue to get any attention from some of us, but then again he makes so many millions of $$ that i doubt he will listen to 1 word some peons like us have to say. so to this i say, eh w/e.

I agree with this, Bay used to make entertaining action films. Even The Island wasn't that bad, but Transformers 2 was such a low point that I'm not entirely certain he still knows how to make a coherent film.
