I humbly suggest this movie. I'm not a fan of anime movies, with a few notable exceptions, this being one of them.

You don't seem to have reviewed it, and if that means you've never seen it I defnitely recommend it.

It's not perfect, but it's a good film.

Haven't seen it unfortunately, though I have heard of it.

haha, yeah remember watching it and thinking it was funny too for a horror film so guess it does qualify as a dark comedy.

Review: I want to meet the studio executive who say down a watched Eraserhead or The Elephant Man and said, "This man is the man who should direct my big budget space epic." Seriously...why in the hell choose David Lynch, did they want this film to fail?

Yes, yes they did. Seriously...I don't know what to say other than this film was doomed from inception. The first director considered for the job was Alejandro Jodorowsky...the guy who did El Topo, I mean what the hell. Not to mention that Jodorowsky was going to corroborate with Salvador Dali to make this movie and get Karlheinz Stockhausen to help score the film. All of which sound like it would be an awesome art film...but as an adaptation of a Sci-fi epic, what the f*** were they thinking.

I have to say though that this film does have its moments and you can wring a lot of enjoyment from the camp factor that is present throughout this film. It's just that, this isn't a good movie at all, the plot is nearly incomprehensible...and I've read the damn books. The direction is all over the place, acting too and there are just to many WTF scenes for a film like this. I mean god damn, what a disaster.

Reviews: Well here is an unmitigated that I grew up with and will always cherish. Seriously the cultural impact of this film is insurmountable, hell I've even had several professors quote this film. I mean you have to see this film just to be considered a well rounded person in my book.

Story: An Old cop and a newish cop chase down a serial killer who offs his victims in the fashion of the seven deadly sins.

Review: Normally a movie with a plot like the one above would be one that is ultra-violent, contrived, and irredeemably stupid. Fortunately though, Se7en had such stupendous talent behind it that it has now become a measuring stick for films of the "Serial Killer" sub genre. Fincher manages to create a dark and gritty world for the action to take place in and what is most interesting is that all of the violence in the film takes place off screen. We never witness any of the murders and the body/victims are not really shown, but we are given a sense of what happened to them through dialog between characters. Pitt, Freeman and Spacey all do an amazing job and they play well off each other. So, yeah...see this movie.

Story: A film where no spoiler warnings are needed.

Review: This is a forgettable film about an actual plot to kill Hitler. There is one issue with making a film about a plot to kill Hitler...we know they fail. I guess my issue starts with me watching the "History" channel way to much as a kid and as you may know the "History" channel has a fetish with WWII. So I've been exposed to the Valkyrie many...many times as a child. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that this film held zero surprises for me, or anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of WWII. Cruise does an alright job as the Nazi pirate and the film develops well enough. It's just that this story isn't exactly exciting and when you compare this film to other WWII films it just doesn't hold up all that well.

Story: The only good movie I know of based off a board game.

Review: There was once a time when Comedy Central would play the hell out of this movie and because of that I must have watched this 20 times. I really do like this film, there is something about it that I can't exactly place my finger on. I haven't seen it in a few years so from memory I do remember the Curry was awesome in it and the rest of the cast did a great job also. The story was a little muddled, but still fun and entertaining. Though the best part by far is the ending, which plays right along with the source material. I can't say Clue is the best of films, but if you get a chance to watch it then do so.

Story: The film that made Jim Carry a star.

Review: I actually remember seeing this film at a drive in theater in the Suburbs outside of Chicago. Though I don't remember whether or not I liked or understood the film, I do know that I liked the idea of a drive in theater. Hahaha...nostalgia.

Anyway, this is actually a really damn funny film. No joke I still find it hilarious to this day, which is saying something...I guess. So yeah, I don't have much more to say than that. This is why I hate reviewing comedies, there really isn't much to say about them.

I'm afraid to say that I've only seen bits and pieces of When Nature Calls...so no review.

Story: Scheming, yet lovable army Sargent faces his toughest challenges yet.

Review: The film revolves around Martin's character Sgt. Bilko, who is known for his relaxed command and his propensity for gambling. All is fine and good when an uptight a-hole from his past shows up to try and destroy him. So he must now save his career, the career of his men, the base where he is stationed, and woo the girl he loves.

I've always liked this film, it's not the best, but I still like it.

Story: A story so crazy that you wont know what coming till the end.

Review: This is a brilliant, insane and campy masterpiece by Brian De Palma. The film is brilliantly shot by De Palma, whose masterful camera work manages to build a dizzying energy that goes with the actions on screen. John Lithgow's, role in this film is spectacular and in my opinion launches well into the realm of one of the most under-appreciated actors of all time. There is many other people who can pull off a camp crazy like Lithgow. I can't say that this is a good movie, but at the same time I have to say that I really liked this film.
