A list of anime in no particular order-
  • Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii wake ga nai (romance, comedy, drama)
  • Kaichou wa Maid-sama (shoujo)
  • Fairy Tail (shounen, action, comedy)
  • Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai (romance, comedy, harem, supernatural, school life)
  • Deadman Wonderland (horror, supernatural, drama, action, shounen)
  • Kara no Kyoukai (horror, supernatural, action) <-- Favorite
  • (Manga) Skip Beat! (shoujo)
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica (drama, fantasy) <-- Very misleading

I can provide many more series, but I just listed some of the more recent to appeal to those that look for both plot and animation quality.

I just finished watching season 1 of "Strike Witches". It was actually pretty good.

Some..umm... fanservice stuff btw.

-------------------------------

It’s a bird – it’s a plane – it’s a girl with no pants!

The year is 1944 and the world lives in fear of unidentified flying objects called Neuroi. With the old-boy old guard unable to thwart this deadly menace, humanity turns its desperate eyes to an aerial attack force with much nicer legs. Meet the girls of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, better known as the Strike Witches. These darlings of the great blue yonder may not have standard-issue uniforms, but they do have all the right stuff. Where the average flyboy falters, these dolls blast aliens to bits in the bat of an eyelash. With a little magic and a whole lot of leg, the girls of the 501st are winning the war on pants, and aliens!

I made an attempt on strike witches when it was still unlicensed and found it to be "meh" but ill check it out again picking up another anime probably isn't the wisest idea lol (currently have a bunch on hold and watching a bunch) but I heard people say it was good so I guess ill check it out one more time lol.

The first 2 seasons of strike witches is complete.

Season 1 ends as if there would not be a season 2 (everything is "wrapped up" and complete).

I haven't started season 2 yet, but I heard it ended the same ("completed").

There is not a season 3, meaning you could watch them all and then be 'done'.

(personally, i don't like watching shows that are ongoing.)

O, btw, there are different "versions" of strike witches.. some have been "cleaned", for TV. The "unedited" ones are not suitable for TV (a few topless scenes)

I just download the link with the most seeds but it seems only episode 7(only downloade the first season thus far) has anything seeing as its the only one with [UNCEN] in its title thanks for the heads up though. I don't like watching ongoing either but it also has a bit of a thrill too it, you know like how you waited a week for the new episode and it finally comes type deal. I am currently watching 12 different animes so I probably won't be watching strike witches until I finish one I am almost finished with Mushishi(currently watching ep 18) so Ill get to it once I finish that. I have about a month left of summer til college starts back up(had summer courses so I just finished 2 weeks ago thats why I am so behind) so I should be able to find time.

watching code geass again for the 5th time, greatest anime ever made.

I personally found code geass had little rewatch value it provide so much closure(few words to avoid spoliers) that I could never watch it fully through again after the first time. Similar to how I reacted to how Death Note ended. Can't avoid spoilers to explain so tag time:
The main character died so with that knowledge I can't bring myself to watch them again. I don't know, doesn't really seem to do them justice. There is just such a sense of closure that watching the show again would be like trying to bring the characters back or something.

So had some free time and searched for some new anime to watch once I get a lot more free time and so far I have found three shows which are pretty good. Now mind you I have only seen the first episode of these series as I am basically window shopping anime trying to find decent ones to watch later.

Tiger and Bunny - People who are super heroes compete in a game show and catching bad guys / defeating monsters / saving lives etc earns them points.

Mawaru Penguindrum - The beginning can be kind of a turn off to many people, but once you get about 8 minutes in things start making sense and the actual show develops and this show is about a terminally ill girl who is saved by a god like figure (honestly not sure what to call it) in exchange for her and her two brothers help. Don't think it's an action anime just slice of life / psychological.

I wouldn't blame you for not watching mawaru as I almost turned it off during the very opening scene, but at least just watch the entire episode before deciding.

Ghost Hound - This series is four years old, but never came across it until recently. It's a Horror / Psychological about three people who have had very traumatic incidents in their past and these incidents allow them access to the unseen or spirit world which ever you want to call it. The first episode seems to be mostly just build up, though I've seen a few reviews for this show and they have been pretty decent so will give this show a go at a later date.

Figured I'd post this to see who is waiting for what series or what looks interesting. Personally, I might stop everything just for Shakugan no Shana III. Been waiting a long time. SHANA!!!!!

Nothing I'm strongly looking forward to on the list, but some interesting looking stuff. We'll see.

Anyway, just finished Hellsing OVA VIII, was pretty good :)

Looking fowards to:

Bakuman
Shakugan no shana
Persona 4
Lupin III
and
Fate/zero

All should be interesting at least

Personally, I am not impressed by the list. There are only three I am looking into (maybe once more information comes out I might get into some others).

Shakugan no Shana III
C3
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon

Anyone else read the most recent bleach?

ZOMG, powers back! AND RUKIA'S BACK!!

Need separate manga thread, but yea I read it. It is nice what happened, but after that M night level twist in the previous chapter, this was a little bit of a let down.

New D.Gray-Man was released 4 days ago, fan translation still not up...wondering how long it usually takes them because I never knew when it actually went on sale before.

If anyone has seen IS: Infinite Stratos I actually was sent a video of someone who made their own opening animation which is actually pretty good.
