Admiration for INS players

Okay, So on thursday I sneaked on my computer for a while after getting Insurgency (I'm not allowed to play on weekdays since I'm a "student") And after I got on the servers, chose a random class and team which was an extremely hard process, and died probably about 8 times in the space of five minutes without killing one person.

To my horror there was no crosshair, AND i didn't see one enemy in the whole time which I played. I guess what I wanted to say was that I admire the skills you guys must have to play such a hard game and shouldn't make generalisations about how INS players aren't that skilled at CS:S because well, yeah.

P.S. Okay maybe I did see enemies but I had no idea what the people in my team looked like and was so freaked about friendly fire XD

Maybe I'll play again soon but right now I gota train for the eGO CS:S league.

Laters ^^

At first I just shot the people running towards me. Now I figured out the player models :P

there might be a slight learning curve but stick with it long enough and you'll frag like the rest of us, then again the map is also a big factor.

For just starting out, and being familiar with CSS, I would recommend the 24/7 Dust2 server, a great level to get the hang of it, next time your on INS.

Would love to play with ya, and don't be afraid to drop by on ventrilo whenever your on.

Don't immediately frag someone that pops out but at the same time you should, INS is about being quick as far as close encounters come. The main reason you shouldn't immediately kill someone is because you need to make a very quick assessment of the player you are about to fire on, make sure its an enemy lol.

Use ironsights.

Make sure it's a bad guy.

Kill them until they're dead.

If those three plans fail, call RT in with his SAW.

lol, same!

Wind, dont quit, ins is the fps mod out there trying to get realistic.
As Swedish_Fish said, go to dust (like me) and play there is really fun and quick so you'll get it fast.

It takes time to have skill like mine ;)

That means, no skill ;(

INS is hard. I can't play on anything but dust, due to my poor skill

The INS division has multiple events to help players get startet, for example the advanced weapons class or the Bootcamp. Just check out the events calendar.

It's a good idea to get in vent, we've got plenty of admins who could set up our league server to the training range map, and you'd sure find someone to give you some aid for the first steps.

Feel free to ask me when I'm online, I'd be glad to help.

EDIT: fixed typo

Depending what team you're on, the bad guys are either the ones with turbans wearing dark brown, or the bigger ones with backpacks and helments wearing light brown. :)

IM GETTING THE HANG OF IT ! ^^

Except I have absolutely no idea when I kill someone ><

OH weeeell I still kill like 2 teammates every round and want to use sniper but never got to select the classs. I love the idea of it tho.

Oh and thanks for the tips :D

I've always wondered how everyone had problems identifying teammates but me.. I've never had that problem and started killing like if I've already played it before O_O

For me sometimes i get confused on whose who and just stand there and keep looking until i figure it out whose on my side. Lol. :/

Oh, you forgot that you're a cybergenetic ghost from the future again.

I'd suggest ProMod practice on CoD4 for anyone having trouble with INS. Its much the same, just need some quick-twitch practice.
