I'm on the eGO clan wide meeting and it was just unveiled we are losing a INS server which is the bad news, BUT we are turning it into a Resistance and Liberation MOD server YAY those are the good and bad news so far so people who like RaL hope to play with you guys soon =D

Yeah, it's up now even. Hammer reopened it. But fact of the matter is, before Hammer uploaded Bridge, the custom maps server was empty for a ridiculous amount of time. Even now, we can go several days without anyone connecting. If this server weren't going to RnL it would probably be closed all together.

It's a tactical fps. I'd put the difficulty as higher than Insurgency, but lower than Red Orchestra.
It's a source-based mod. Totally free. If you can run INS, your can run RnL. RnL is a little bit more demanding of your pc because of the fact that the maps are 4-6 times larger than those on Insurgency.

Yeah yeti it was definitely a good move on hammer's part. That server is empty 24/7. I idled it a few times for an hour or so and no one would show up at all. Putting it to RnL is a really good choice. That server will be full 24/7 probably.
(When i get one of these jobs i applied for im getting a new steam account buying source games again and the orange box so i can have a blast with you guys.)

the euro bootcamp for r&l will develop if (a) the server is a succes (b) the bootcamp is a succes to random euro events for R&L. In the begining the euro and north american boot camp hosted by yeti and myself will be pritty similar but just taking place in another timezone, wich doesn't mean that attending at both boot camps could be a intressiting idea cause probably yeti and myself will both stress other things, and to satisfie you guys i can inform you that each boot camp won't be a lot of explaination, the boot camps will be based on actualy gaming experience/scriming rather then giving away instructions and tips during the whole boot camp. Each boot camp will have a couple of intresting tips and tricks that will be explained at the beginning of the boot camp, we are going to work on tactics, controlling weapons, the map and how to use it, squadbased organization, pin points on certain maps,.... and all standard maps will be played in the boot camp, yeti and myself still need to discuss about the exact topics for bootcamp 1 and the map but we had a couple of intresting thoughts already.
