Birthday Upgrades

I needed a GPU, Pew. I was using IGP. I can't wait 6 more months with only using onboard.
See, unlike you, I don't/didn't have a good system, so I couldn't just "wait 6 more months".

And, I did get my 470.
Overclocked it, too.
 
Show us some benches bro ! Would love to see what it does at stock to your overclock. Congrats ! I've got my 8800 folding right now, running dual monitors, and simulcasting (3 live video feeds for our camera system here, Ft. Lauderdale location and Auction lanes) so its sure to go down soon :-)

the 470's run like 700mhz stock right?? your at 750 so id say like a 2-3 FPS bump

Well, the rumor and stuff is saying that the 6 series are coming out second half of 2010......i think it was because of a leaked roadmap or something

Lol Pew has no clue... It's ok he's ATI. a 470 would probably perform the same as a 9800 as a Physx card, it would really only do so much. The GTX 275 co-op for example is a dual PCB card, on being the 275 and the other is a GTS 250 for Physx, and we all know the GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800 GTX, nearly identical internally.

That gives me an idea, pull my 8800 GTS out of the work rig, which is also a GTS 250 with lower clocks and do some benches with my GTX 260 using the 8800 for Physx.
 
275 co-op isnt dual pcb. 2 gpu's 1 pcb

only dual pcb cards :

1st gen 3870X2
7950GX2
9800GX2
GTX 295 non-co-op
 
OOps, my mistake. Thank you for the correction. Dual PCB is 2 identical units within a single card. Im sure you all got the idea though...
