Hockey anyone?

yep...thats a crazy fight....definitely messed his face up bad...i just liked that fight cause staubitz knocked tootoo down a notch...i think that was staubitz' first year in the nhl so stuck out in my mind.

Dont think it knocked TooToo down a notch. Just met his match lol. I think i may play hockey for my school next year but not sure how i would do being 6 foot 3 160 lbs. And never playing it before. But idk, we'll see what happens i guess. But ill most definitely start following it more.

san jose should win this year now that pitt is out :( I mean they do deserve it especially with all that star power on there team

@ Sajora - Well good luck either way hah...Playoffs/Finals are tough no matter where in the world you are...

@ Trauma - Yea...I agree kinda...TooToo is STILL a beast...but its good that he knows there are people in the NHL that'll step up to his face n pummel it in when he gets to cocky...As for college hockey you have the height to play...just gotta bulk up...that'll come from lifting weights and working out...so if you do that you should be good to go! Good luck man, that would be awesome if you make your college team.

@ Flea - Yea that is what I am hoping too...but I am taking this one series at a time and Chi is the next road block...Montreal has done exceptional as well...they really surprised me seeing as they BARELY made it to the playoffs in the first place...but it goes to show you that the playoffs are a whole different kind of game and despite what happened in the regular season, that isnt an indicator of how they will do post season...ie- the caps...same thing happened to the sharks last season...but the team last season didnt really have the umph that it does this season...shed some unnecessary baggage and got some really good players to take up the slack.

Not college, high school lol

@ Trauma - Well what are you worried about then? You are prob bigger than like 80% of the people anyways hah

Yea but my problem is i never ice skated before, and im about 20 lbs under my recommended weight. Im not really built muscle wise. So im just taller then just about everyone. This summer when i come back home from a 1 month trip to Maryland im going to go to a sportsplex and learn to ice skate and get used to it, not 100% sure that im going to but its better to be prepared and not do it than to do it and the coach laugh at me because i cant even ice skate.

Yea for sure...I can skate...but only just...Cant skate backwards...or stop properly lol...but it is still fun :) 20 lbs isnt that much to make up for muscle wise...if you hit the weights consistently...you'll make a good chunk of that easily...And if you make the team...You'll be working out/practicing a few times a week I am sure which in itself will help bulk you up the rest of the way.

When I was younger n took some lessons...the most important thing I remember was to not lean back...keep your center of gravity below your waist or you'll fall over backwards...also build your ankle strength...you'll need it to keep those feet moving without a lot of pain.

wow canada destroyed norway. 12:1!! holy hell.
i hope we will destroy russia like that today lol

Yea I told my mom that when i come back from Maryland that we need to go ice skating if possible just in case I do try out that way i can at least say i know how to skate. If its anything like roller skating on roller blades then im fine. I can do that easlily.

For starting hockey, if you don't think you can keep up at a college level, you could try to find a recreation league to play in. The few recreation leagues I've played in usually have players who are experienced and willing to give help newer players learn. Most recreation leagues are non-check and you don't have to be built to play in them.

@ Trauma - It is similar sorta...the balance is more over the mid-front of the skates though as opposed to the middleish of roller blades...But since you have the rollerblading background, you should be fine when you learn to ice skate

@ Sajora - ah well...there is always next year and at least it was a good game! :D

Sharks vs Blackhawks!! Here we go!! Sharks up 1-0 with 3 min left in the first period!! Woot!

lol ya. we lost another game today 0-1 but i think we still have a last chance in the next game. hopefully we are gonna win this one =/
