I wasn't actually planning to do this just yet and I certainly wasn't planning to go this route.
Previous setup was:
AMD Athlon X2 4800+
Gigabyte AM2+ GA-MA69VM-S2 AMD690V Chipset
2GB DDR2 800 Memory
GeForce GTX 260
CoolerMaster PSU: 750W w/ 900W peak
WD Caviar 640GB HDD
New Setup:
AMD Phenom II x6 1055T
MSI AM3 890GXM-G65
4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600 Memory/CAS 7-8-7-20
GeForce GTX 260
CoolerMaster PSU: 750W w/ 900W peak
WD Caviar 640GB HDD
I was already looking at that MSI mobo to pair alongside a Athlon II x4 635, but when I saw this on slickdeals, I just couldn't pass it up.

Why get the entry-level quad-core and the MSI board when I can get the hexa-core and the board for roughly the same price. =)
The CPU, Mobo, and RAM together cost around 350$
