hi, i need help to retrive my account back

i've tried contacting valve but they ask me for a cd key :/

i didnt get a cd with the game i bought it on steam for download

can you give me help please

If you downloaded the game off of steam it still gives you a CD key.

With any purchases off steam it is in your best interest do print the receipt that comes with it in the future. Only other choice now is to just purchase CS:S again with a new steam ID.

what he said. But yeah, by ordering online you should get codes of the game..
it happened to me once and luckily i have my TF2 receipt. and they fixed it.

Well I gave them my bank account details ( Pin and Name ) and that got it back.

I think if you give them the payment info that you used to purchase the game with, they can use that, like credit card number etc.

If you bought it with PayPal, find the PayPal invoice ID and they should be able to do the rest.

Or you could check the email that you used to apply for your steam account. The information of the purchase should have been sent to your email address, that is, if you haven't deleted it. I just went into my email address and remembered that steam sends you the purchase information as well in an email.

If that doesn't work than your only option is a new steam ID and a new purchase of CS:S.

In the future, might not want to tell anyone ANY detail about your steam. Even the username is enough for someone to get the further needed information to scam you. Also, try not to create a username that matches your email address, that's just asking for trouble there.

Anyways, try looking in your email folders and see if you can find the purchase information that steam sends. I found mine, so you should be able to find yours if you haven't trashed it already.

if you purchased a game online you always print or keep the receipt no matter what. The only way you will get it back is buy the credit card info if you used that, or proof from a serial key as said from the previous comment.

Well, what you sent them was good. Now you just have to be patient for a few days. In the meantime, find your buying information so you can talk to them about getting your account back with proof.

Um, your thread title is EXTREMELY misleading. Nobody really stole your account... did they?

its not misleading

my account was stolen by someone who was able to get a keylogger onto my computer so yes i would call that stealing info

Can this be locked? It has served its purpose. We gave him suggestions and this thread should be locked before he starts giving out more information about his account, which he has just done in a previous post above.

Next time think before you speak anything about your account.

P.S. Did you happen to do this before your account was 'hacked'
