T Camping?

Hey there guys, if you don't mind I have a question that I would like to pose to the community. It is to help me understand a situation I have got myself into. None of the staff seem to want to talk to me about it so I am posing a question to you all and see what ya think.

We know the rule of being out of T Spawn by 1:30. It is a good rule that those of us who play on the CS server respect. I do like the rule and I am not appose to it if it administrated properly.

Here is the situation I got myself in...

1. Round starts. Though due to lag at start up I was about 20-30 late out of spawn and after buying my gear i make my way to B.

2. B. Is comprised and I see a few of my team die fighting to get IN to B tunnels. I move to help but was quickly blinded and found out I was hit after being blind.

3. Wounded. I see that B is a no go so I make my way up the ramp to go help Long A... CTs by that time were already pushing through there too so I was now trapped between B & A with CTs comping from both sides so I ran back to B and started shooting at B tunnels at the CT's pushing through.

4. YOU HAVE BEEN KICKED FOR SPAWN CAMPING. I was then kicked from the server. This upset me. Because I have been playing on this server for a long time now and have even donated a small about before. In that time I have never been a cheat or a camper. In fact I am known to the the first one dead. So seeing this greatly upset & annoyed me.

5. I renter the server pissed because in this instance the admin was (I felt) wrong for doing such as I was not camping, but pinned down. I should have just took a breath and just shrugged it off but it really did piss me off because... I am not a camper and didn't know what the heck I could have done other then running right at a group of CTs to die to avoid this situation.

So after I re-enter I voiced up my malcontent at the admin and told him he need to not be so happy with his kick button because I wasn't camping. I did say it with a bit of anger and did says something along the lines of, "The admin is stupid." Or something like that, I do admit to being pissed and using some rather gruff language which I apologize for but I was greatly annoyed for being kicked for something I couldn't help.

6. YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED. Now I receive a ban (The length doesn't matter to me it is the fact it happened period) for "Abusiveness to Staff." Now, sorry I couldn't help but laugh when I first saw that because I didn't think I was actually all that bad on voice because I knew the rules, seems he was particularly fragile that day.

Now, I can't get a staff to talk to me about this situation so I want to know where or who went wrong. I admit I was a bit boisterous when I came back but it was due to the admin. I am and was hopping that the admin would see the fault in his ways and if not apologize to me for his wrong doing then at least acknowledge where he was too hasty and will take better care to Kick/Ban someone in future.

What I want to come out of this is nothing more then the Admins/Staff to take a moment to recognize this situation as a fault or hole that is guidelines for the admins that monitor the server and better train them to completely watch a round and what is going on before kicking/banning someone for "Camping".

This is better dealt with by sending a PM with this message to the Advisors of the CS:S division, if they can assist in this matter, than cool, if they cannot, then it will go to the DL.

Thanks for the info!

This really isn't a complaint so much as it is something I am throwing out there to help 'myself' understand the situation. I wanted to explain it and people tell me what or where I may have gone wrong (other then calling the Admin Stupid). So if you could please tell me in that situation what could have been done?

I also hate doing the "Private Complaint" business. This is a very valid situation that should be discussed openly with all that play on the server. The simple question of... If you are in Tspawn due to being pinned down is that really "Camping?"

apok... Leadership has told you... I think 3 times now. Your ban is currently under review. This does not mean they are putting it off it means they are talking about it amongst eachother.

Please refrain from posting anything about this ban or anything related to it just to try and get your point across. If anything it is hurting your case in the long run and not helping. In the future be patient and allow leadership to get to your ban, Thanks!

Quite frankly after this turn of events I am not all that much worried about "my case." The situation is what it is and this is more of "A Case." This is because if this matter isn't resolved with me, it may happen to someone else and I would hate for anyone to to subjected to this as I have.

You need to find me in vent to discuss this further. The boards aren't a place where we hold open discussion on standing rules, if members or pubs have questions they can ask an admin via ventrilo. If they can't come to a succinct answer to their satisfaction, they find a leadership member to discuss it with.
