Well, next year in Web Design our teacher is apparently (from what he says) is going to teach us how to use photoshop, i'm thinking i may take what i learn and try to start making signatures! Anyone have any suggestions on what i should expect, tryout, etc?

Umm, all i can say is that is going to be awesome! Wish i had a teacher to teach me :(

:( Well, i passed the certification test for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 :) Nice little achievment on my Resume, at the end of the next school year we will take the photoshop certification test, hopefully i will pass that too :)

Learn to render/vector
It helps if someone wants a sig and all they have is a stock image.

Umm..you are probably learning to change pictures..effects and stuff..you are not learning how to make signatures, but of course you will learn effects that can be used making a sig.

My..teacher? at school xD I have the program, it came with a bundle, i just dont know how to use it well, and we are apparently going to learn next year :)

What Gods said is correct. You'll most likely learn to adjust the levels and curves, rule of thirds, etc etc. Basic photo editing, probably NOT much you'll learn in that would be helpful in a signature.

Well, its a start isnt it? I'd be proud of anything i made xD

We are not saying that you wont learn nothing in this..but you will probably only learn to modify pictures..and stuff like that..maybe you will learn teqhiuces that you can use inside signature making.

If anything, you'll get a lot better with using adjustment layers (gradient maps, curves, levels) and the burn/dodge tools, which can make a flat signature really pop out.
