Ok so here's my problem i have with the board. VDimm can only be set in increments of .1v , so i can use 1.5 , 1.6, 1.7 and on up. I am only trying to see how far i can take these modules and the voltage issue bothers me. They are OCZ Gold 1600 rated for 1.65 @ 1600mhz but can get them upto 1700 stable ( not very impressive ) with 1.6vdimm nas timings set at 9 9 9 24. I really dont want to use the 1.7vdimm option as this may cause damage , but it is preventing higher overclocking my RAM. I am using an i3 530 cpu.
What bothers me is i can set my i7's memory rated for 1333 w/ 7-7-7-20 @ 1.6 vdimm, but its overclockable to 1790 w/1.65vdimm and 9-9-9-28. I have personally used 9-9-9-24 @ 1750 stable. See the article below and, Please enlighten dbee. Any thoughts, ideas, criticism are welcome
