Do not buy an Alienware under any circumstances. Magazine advertising companies like Cyberpower and iBuypower are no better off too which ship their parts 100 fold later than expect and hand you over a half broken PC with rattled HDDs, corrupt Operating Systems, and and a horrible wiring job.
As for other options, if you're really looking into buying a laptop for GAMING I politely will ask you not to if you're planning on playing high end games from this day and age because most laptops come with pretty decent CPUs but their GPUs are lacking and in reality today most games barely push 2 threads and leave all the work to the GPU.
I strongly recommend you build yourself a PC or get someone from Tigerdirect to do it for you for a $100 labour throw in. You're much better off than with a laptop or a half ass desktop from rip-off may I exaggerate "brand names".
If on the other hand you aren't a hardcore gamer then I strongly recommend you just lookup laptops from somewhere like
www.newegg.com, one of the most realiable Tech websites I've come across in all the years I've dealt with computer technology.
