An Army Workday

Hello,

Not sure if this is the right forum but I know there are some people here who are in the army, im also thinking about joining the army, but how does a workday for you guys look like, after you finished your first 4 year education.

You still train? Or you do other stuff? You go to other countries ASAP? Or what you do?

Im not in the army, but I know someone who just got a 2week break from being in Bootcamp, and he said it wasnt all that bad.

Oke, but what do you do during these days? How late you get up? What you eat at breakfast? How you sleep? And what you do the rest of the day? What you do in the evening? When you got free time? If you finished your education, what has been changed?

well blackbird,

depending on which Unit you get stationed at and which job you sign up for you daily schedule will change, but most jobs will entail a 5:30 wake up 0600 PT = Phyiscal Training
0800-0900 Shower Change Breakfast, 0900-1700 Work, and occasionally you will work 24 hour CQ duty but thats not bad, and you go to the field up to 3-5 days for training,

so in techniqally (early morning can't type) your day is a normal day and you do some extra work and learn how to defend your country from foreign enemies 1 a month in a FXT = Field Exercise Training.

so if that doesnt sound like something fun, i would say not to join, but imo its fun meet alot of cool fun people.

and i been doing it for 5 years

definetly depends on your job im also in the process of joining a military branch right now and from what i heard from most recruiters is you go from 2-4 to even 6 months deployed (depending on your job you could go any where) then you go back to your base when your done and that goes on and off through your 4 or 6 years.... i was looking for a tech job and they told me an average day would be getting up at 7 am doin pt till 9 then working till i think 4 he said then any additional training that came along and then the rest of the day is yours, but your deployed days would probably be alot different they never told me anything about that... but im doing the reserves since i got a decent job and i want to go to school without taking out huge student loans to do it, and get some decent health care if you know what i mean

This is pretty much it. My uncle was a Marine. He said that his days were pretty tough. Got up at the crack of dawn and didn't get back til late night. :O
