But now, for my opinion!: Valve wont change back to the way Counter-Strike was. They gave in a little bit by giving server owners cvars to disable to major updates (stats, achievements, mvp, etc). They aren't going to change everything back.

Good luck trying though.

Also, for my opinion (which some do not want to hear)

This is because the makers of the skins have not updated their skins, therefore it will cause many crashes until they update it or you remove them.

Next, The petition states

"1 - The removed Minigames, Jailbreak, and our custom content that we loved so dearly!

2 - They removed the awesome ragdoll, and replaced it with an animation of the model getting down with his hands on his head. WTF????

3 - They put the maximum Tickrate to 66. No more smooth gameplay.

4 - They removed Lua, so that hackers alike cannot anymore have fun with the game. For this statement, you will tell me that "Hackers are Bad." Not all hackers are bad! Most hackers simply want to have fun writing scripts and using them. Who is Valve to take that right away from them? "

Here is what I say

1. Minigames are still here, jailbreak is still here, and all custom content is still there.

2. Ragdolls are fine for me and most all other people.

3. The servers are smoother than ever.

4. This is valve trying to get rid of hackers, why would anyone want hackers?

But the funniest part was

"Who is Valve to take that right away from them? "

They are the makers of the game, they can do whatever they want, especially take away hacks.

IMO, yes I hate the lag, yes the light is almost blinding, but I'll live with it. They are not going back to the original css. and anyways they can patch stuff anyways. And no minigames are not gone (i've seen someone say that.)

It does seem to require more computing resources since my game now lags when it didn't before. Also turning on a flashlight crashes my comp.

But gameplay and other stuff that made the game good was untouched. It's just that there are some new features, but it doesn't really affect the gameplay itself.

I need a new computer. :scared:

The game is fine don't cry over it. All the little bugs such as the censorship are going to be fixed. It's just a matter of time. That petition ain't going to do nothing.

^This. The new way is fine. Since this is an upgrade from the older source engine to the orange box engine its expected to have bugs. They will be fixed soon enough just like they were when source first came out. The silly little lame bugs and your low fps will get fixed eventually. Im all for the new update just as long as they get the bugs fixed, which I bet they will

If any of you people who signed the petition bothered to read the steam forums you would see threads with fixes for ragdolls, etc. Also -- How is it that our EdgeGamers Jailbreak server was up within 5 hours? All we had to do was upgrade to a new build of metamod, sourcemod and correct a few syntax errors in our plugins.

I personally love the update and I don't see anything broken or wrong with it.

Change is good, some hate to adapt to change, some are open to new things.

Sure theres a few glitches right now which is probably the reason some people signed but you have to understand, the change was for the better and if you give them a week or 2, things will be patched up and normal again. Like legend said, I honestly doubt they are going to downgrade from all the time and money they spent to upgrade, petitions will show that people dont like it, but I can pretty confidently say its not going back to the way it was.
