May I suggest making this a sticky please? Since this is just the beginning of what may be a long and fabulous trip, it would be well suited to keep this in eyes reach of everyone. Stickies are easily removed if need be.

amid all the PM's asking, registration will open shortly guys. please be patient. there are people working extremely hard with alot of diligence to work out the details.
Any event, esp. something like this, takes an enormous amount of planning and thought behind the scenes. We are taking your thoughts suggestions and incorporating them into the schematic so that it can be a very enjoyable process for all involved. Just bear with us for a bit more and we promise we will start rolling out the carpets for this.

Just a quick suggestion (and a big thanks to those taking time to ask/answer questions and make this great): I know things come up and that not everyone can make it to each event. However, I think it might be helpful (because a lot of times people know their general schedules somewhat in advance) for the signup list to also include the # of nights of the tournament you (tentatively) think that you can attend. It's not fair to draft someone with a very early pick if they are only going to end up only attending 1 of the 4 weeks, nor is it fair to the other team if the opposing team has to forfeit due to lack of players. I'm sure that you guys might have some sort of alternate system built in, but who knows, I think this could be a great piece of data to add to the sign-up. (IE: #of weeks out of 4 your team can DEPEND on you attending: 0-4)

hey IO. thanks for the suggestion! it has come up amongst us, and we do understand the concerns.
until we find a concrete solution though, we will just have to work around it. We understand that sometimes things happen, things come up, and real life occurs. it's fine.
It's sort of the nature of the beast. We are hoping that even if you won't be able to make it, we'll have enough people that take part in our event to have someone take the open spot.

I understand that not everyone playing is going to have perfect attendance or anything, just a heads up if people are aware of scheduling conflicts would be nice as teams are chosen. It is realism after all and I'm sure plenty of soldiers deserted and left their armies a man down or two, such is the nature of war. Then again, with as many signed up (after less than 24 hours nonetheless) as we do we should definitely have some sort of alternate slots set up. Perhaps mercenaries for hire if you will? People who know they can't make it each week but still want to participate when they are around.
