Ok, I have a Dell Dimension E520. It has a 305W PSU in it. I'm thinking about putting a 512MB nVidia graphics card and 2GB Ram in it. Would this PSU support that much? (I hope it does)

anything over the geforce 6 or 7 (probably just 7 series) requires alot more but 8800s are out of your league

Okay, let me look and see what it says the series is. Right now I got nVidia GeForce 7300 LE.

You should understand that in every line of graphics cards from both major brands, there are 3 types of GPU's. There are the cheap modles that supposrt the basic new technology (such as the latest vertex shader and etc) but are basically just good enough to surf the web. The 7300 is one of these.
Then there are the made for gaming chips such as the 7950 ultra, or the 8800gtx, the 6800 ultra, the old 5950 I used to own and even the geforce 4 ti4400 I had before that. The cards (when new) were designed to be the top of the line cards.
The third type are those which can be consittered budget gaming cards, they have the power to do more than surf the web but they are not hardcore either - for example ati had x600le, they were better than the x300 but not as good as the x850xt.
How does that relate? Well, the bottom cheap class (being that it doesnt render hardcore anything) doesnt need alot of power and can get away with using a little power. However, you can actually buy an older card but one which was meant for gaming such as the 6800ultra and they reccomended PSU is 480 watts. The point bein that, it doesnt necesarel depend as much on which serries you get as it does how powerfull the card is. Posting the exact card you are looking at will help greatly.

If you were looking for something to run very well with only a single 8800 and some new ram i would look into the corsair hx520. 520 watts and it runs god like. Even if you ended up going with the 7600GT which is a pretty good card, alot of people use it for source and just plain old cs. but in my personal opinion and my experience with my psu i can only recommended it cause it is plain awesome!

Well I know anything over 7300 will not work on 305W Here is the video card I would like to put inside my computer. (Don't always go by the system requirements they say their screwed up in the head anyways)

I think that you will be happy with a 430-480 watt power supply, but if you click the link I sent and use the calculator from the website it will tell you the minimum supply you will need.
