TrueCrypt is a free tool to create encrypted sections on hard drives. You can encrypt entire drives, partitions, flash drives, or create a virtual file that can be mounted like a disk to store your private goodies.

You can even create hidden volumes, if you are paranoid.

This is top tier protection, and is practically uncrackable.

7-Zip is open source software. Most of the source code is under the GNU LGPL license. The unRAR code is under a mixed license: GNU LGPL + unRAR restrictions.

You can use 7-Zip on any computer, including a computer in a commercial organization. You don't need to register or pay for 7-Zip.
The main features of 7-Zip

High compression ratio in 7z format with LZMA and LZMA2 compression
Supported formats:
Packing / unpacking: 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP and WIM

CleanHaven is a program designed to make the cleaning of text much easier. The cleaned text can be reset as the main text with additional cleaning performed. Once finished the cleaned text is available from the global cleaned text window. For example, you can turn all company names to Sentence Case, all UK postcodes to Uppercase or remove any trailing spaces, tabs or punctuation.

How CleanHaven works
Simply paste the text you want to clean into the main window. There is no limit to the amount of text that can be pasted.
Set the attribute you want cleaned such as setting the text to Title Case above. You can set multiple attributes.
When you are ready press the Clean button - the converted text will appear in the Cleaned Results window. If the text has not changed the way you expected, change the attribute and click Clean again.

Values Handled
Case (Title Case, Sentence Case, UPPERCASE, lowercase, random case, curly quotes), Sort order (ascending, case-sensitive, descending, random, reverse, numerical value), Duplicates (remove, only duplicates, only unique), Remove characters (excess returns, excess spaces, linefeeds, linefeeds to returns, non-ASCII, non-letters, non-numbers, periods, punctuation, returns, returns to linefeeds, spaces, tabs), Personal (combine columns, combine paragraphs, email address to web URL, full name to first/last name, phone number format, salutation, UK postcodes), Info (only correctly-spelled words, only incorrectly-spelled words, original-spelling and result, ASCII, overall text information, value and frequency) and Find and Replace text.

I use this to fix badly formatted .txt files and website copy and paste jobs.

Seems kinda useless.
Copy/paste into any text editor, highlight all, then default the size/font/bold/italics/etc

CCleaner is an excellent little tool to clean junk files off of your computer with. It supports most of the main programs out there, and even handles some registry fixes. You can check start-up entries with it as well, and it has an uninstall manager.

However, it's far from perfect. That's where the next tool comes in.

CCEnhancer is a small tool which adds support for over 400 new programs into the popular program CCleaner.

Some of the programs it adds support for include Steam, Ventrilo, Pidgin, Java, Skype, UTorrent, Flash, Foobar2000, NVIDIA, VLC, and a TON more.

You can download it at http://thewebatom.net/programs/ccleaner-enhancer/download-ccenhancer/ and once you run it, it will load the updates into CCleaner for you.

That second program is nice. I just used it. +REP if this site had any. lol.
 
Freemake video Converter is a simple tool for converting and editing video.

It supports most formats, and allows you to make basic edits to the files as well.

You can even plug in most video site url's and convert files directly from sites like Youtube.

It's got a lot of nice options for a free product.
