Looking to buy a new video card!!

Above the 5770 is the 58XX and 59XX series, however they cost $250 + on average.

Wut is the difference, and i see a different name of the hard added in something about a (Juniper XT). Wuts the difference. Because i need a new card badly, and i will get one soon. But i just realized my computer is having a hardtime playing the APB on low settings. Low settings are you kidding me lol. It's soo sad. I Play on low settings on APB. Barely no fps lag, but when people have a custom paint on there car the game loads the car all black and it's all like weird and stuff. Is a 9500GT a bad card or it's just that it's old, and there's no technology out there like the HD 5770 and the GTX 460 and all of that???

Get the cheaper of the two. I don't know the difference off the top of my head, but they will both performance (probably) the same.
 
yea i remember you messaging me on steam about waiting to get an GTX 460. But i changed my mind and i want an ATI card. No more Nivida lol. Plus i would need a new PSU, and the card is more money as well so. i guess i'm gonna be rolling with an HD 5700 baby! which is no big deal. ill message you on steam right now. i need to ask you something lol.
 
Hey man if your computer can run 2 video cards, just but the same one you have and it will get bumbed up to 1Gb. Haha thats what i did!
 
5770 is your best choice for that money. Your new GPU will run perfectly fine on a 400W PSU. I bought a 550W-avg 600W max PSU and got the ATI Radeon HD 5570, because of lack of money. I bought the bigger PSU because I plan on upgrading to a 5770 or 5850 in the future. My 5570 cost about $80 and I get an average of 93FPS on all medium and textures and shadows on high, in bc2.

The difference between the cards is the PCB. The first card is a "reference" PCB and the second is "non-reference". Its a lot of technical mumbo jumbo but basically a reference card is over engineered video card (it also allows for voltage tweaks in the cards voltage registers :)). Juniper is what they call the reference PCB (i believe...). Be aware that reference cards are made in fixed quantities and that picture may not be accurate (newegg is known to do that). Dont get me wrong, they are both great cards and you cant go wrong with either.

There is much more info on differences between reference cards and non-reference so PM me and ill elaborate further for you.
 
Just ordered the Sapphire HD 5770 Card just 45mins ago. Should hopefully be here tomorrow, but if not defiantly Friday for sure, and ill let you guys know if i'm satisfied with the card or not :P. When i get the card should i be getting my drivers from the ATI AMD Site, or should i be getting the drivers from somewhere else. But i heard from someone it's best to get it here.

You should enjoy the card (its a very nice card, after all).

like chemist said, the site is correct. should be driver number 10.7 (im not sure if 10.8 is out yet).
 
Another question i have that i need help with. umm i have the Nivida drivers installed as we speak for my 9500GT. When i get the HD 5770, and i install the drivers for the new 5770, will the drivers overwrite the nivda drivers, and the 5770 driver will take over. Does that make sence lol?

you should definitely uninstall your nvidia card (thus removing all programs and drivers from you comp) before installing your 5770 and installing those drivers. you should also run somthing called 'driver sweeper' to remove the remaining nvidia file fragments from your comp. Ill edit this post with the procedure steps for you (its not too hard). running drivers sweeper is not as necessary as uninstalling your nvidia drivers but its recommended.

Edit: here are the steps

Step 1: Download and install Driver Sweeper.

Step 2: Download the latest ATi Drivers from the AMD website and save them to a memorable location as we sill need these later (you have the link ;)).

Step 3: Uninstall the current drivers through either 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' depending on your operating system.

Step 4: Reboot the PC and enter safemode by repeatedly tapping F8 quickly during the transition from POST to Windows boot.

Step 5: Run Driver Sweeper and check the boxes for 'ATi -Display' (if its there, it may not be if you never had an ati card) and 'nVidia - Display' - then, Click the 'Analyse' button.

Step 6: You will then see a list of driver remnants on your system, click the 'Clean' button to remove them all. Wait for the cleaning process to complete and exit Driver Sweeper.

Step 7: Reboot into normal mode and begin installing the drivers you downloaded earlier.

Step 8: Complete the installation, reboot and enjoy.

Soo pretty much. when the card is delivered to my house. Don't even think about inserting the card into my tower. First start upp pc, and remove all Nivida drivers, and control panel etc. Then shutdown pc, and then insert the video card, then turn it on, and download the drivers??????????
