Just started playing, a few questions.

What's up guys. after a past few rocky months of my life, I've returned to PC gaming.

All though in the past DoD:s was always my favorite game, when I reinstalled steam the first game I started playing was BC2. having just beat single player and having never played online, I was just wondering..

What's the best map, or most fun conquest map to be played? I know it's an opinionated matter, in BF2 my favorite map was Gulf of oman, and Road to uh.. Yeah. however you spell it.

And what's the most popular frequented eGO bc2 server?

To me personally, my favorite Conquest map is Laguna Presa. You'll definitely get a different answer if you ask someone else.

As for the most frequented eGO server, it's Hardcore Rush.

well with four servers. you may start with one and grow into another. I started with reg rush to HC rush to conquest and now playing HC conquest mostly. as for favorite map?... dont really have a faveorite but i do have a couple that i hate.

any hardcore server is my favorite.... i cant stand regular. it shouldnt take more than a couple shots to kill someone and in real life, you wont have a map in right there in the bottom left corner of your peripherals or an ammo count. lol i used to love conquest but kinda grew on rush more since it was the only hc server we had for a while.

I do have to agree with the conscensus here about hardcore (yes - i know i can't spell)

It is most like the gaming i like, and yes - the most fun IN MY OPINION.

Now that that is out of the way - due to the fact that everytime i've ever able to play our servers are full, i've hardly ever played on them.........

you say that like its a bad thing.... if this keeps up we'll get even more servers!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm going to get one of our server IP's and start playing now.. I've been playing for like 25 min to just get the hang of it in empty servers.. No real sense of a "favorite" map yet..

Also.. What's the rush game mode? and hardcore conquest?

Rush is a mode where you have an attacking team trying to blow up 2 specific points( M-COM), and a defending team trying to prevent that from happening.

Hardcore Conquest is regular Conquest cranked up a notch or two (less bullets to kill, fewer info on HUD).

I started with regular server first.
I think it is a good choice.
Because if you start with hardcore, you'll find it hard to kill ppl once your back in a regular.

I juggle between regular and hardcore conquest. Mostly regular, dont really like hardcore, I die too fast :chair:!!

I personally do not like rush because the teams is always fighting in the same area on the map. I find it very "Campy"
While in conquest you can move between the different points in the map! Everyone is spread out a bit so you can have different alternative of what you can do!

I personally started with Hardcore Rush, and I basically got raped. But then as I got better and started to know the maps, I was getting up there in each round. Then I went over to Reg Conquest, and I owned hehehe

Nowadays you'll see me on HC Conq, if there's enough to have a fun game, or HC Rush or reg Conq depending on my mood. In Regular Conquest you get a lot of noobs that will come back to the same place even after you kill them over and over and over, making for easy kills if you just sit back and let them come to you

Ahh I see! Well. Rush sounds fun.. but I've been playing Battlefield for a Long time, so I'm obviously used to conquest.. Last night I played for like 4 hours on some server because all our conquest servers were empty all day/night. =[

Regardless, after an hour I got pretty damn good.. And as in all the battlefield games, the Tank quickly became my favorite. Especially because NO ONE on the russian side in the Atacama Desert was using the tanks.


Anyway. I'ma go check to see if our conquest servers have anyone in them.. Is it typical for our Conquest servers to be empty?
