Client issues

lately in css my client keeps timing out and not working i would ask valve but they never answer back and i figured this would be easier so is anyone nos what to do plz post it here

Can you elaborate a little bit? By client do you mean the game itself is freezing, or are you trying to connect to a server and the connection times out?

With Steam open go to the menu labeled Steam and then click Go Offline...

let it go offline...

Then repeat the reverse. Steam->Go Online
You may be prompted to enter your password.

I find that my Steam client will have issues syncing with the cloud if left idle for several hours, until i do that procedure.

The issues also cause Achievements to not work in any game, and games lists to load erratically.
