Xbox Live subscription to increase in price

I got an email about this on sunday, and the one year sub it now a way better deal than buying 3 months or 1 month. Also its really 59.99 because there are no taxes on it, i believe. (because I have bought the sub cards at best buy and they are really only 49.99, so i get a useless penny)

I make $1200 a year for taking care of my pets and going to school... o_O not a problem for me. Lawlz.

Why does Bill Gates need more money when he's already one of the richest men alive? ._.

The only reason I bought an Xbox over a PS3 is because literally all of my friends play on Xbox Live instead of the Playstation Network. You don't have the problem of jtaggers on the playstation, either.

That reminds me, I joined a free-for-all match and ended up getting a message saying "Player kicked." right after my map finished loading and I was no longer level 70, but my prestige had gone up a bunch and my leaderboards got screwed. I don't know why I went from 2nd prestige to like 8th prestige from being kicked and deranked, but hey, it's actually beneficial in a way: less time wasted getting to tenth prestige.

All of my leaderboards are millions into the negatives right now, though...

The company needs more money for something. Besides, look at it from an economic point of view. The more people purchase a good, the more the price will increase. Microsoft will probably see how far they can raise the price for xbox live, while still making a profit. I would do the same thing.

Bill Gates isn't the only one who gets your money. The money is split between employees of the company, and as long as Microsoft doesn't give up and quit making everything they are making, giving them my money is no problem.

If you are looking at it from an economic point of view, you also need to consider inflation.

What good/service do you know of that has not increased in price for 8 years and gives you more options to do things? Its simplly them finally biting the bullet for inflation when they have a plausible reason.



oh and Bill Gates doesn't work for MS anymore, atleast in the fulltime, fully paid position that made him rich.

It really is funny how our society is still running off the illusion that our country has alot of money in the market when in reality, we have none. But you are right, the cost of Live has not changed for quite some time, it's about time they decided to start responding to the consumer.
 
you guys know they are making a family plan wheres its like 100 dollars for 1 year subscription for like 4 or 3 people, me my bro and my dad play on xbl a lot, so this will be helpful to me :)
