When ever i try and connect to a friend's game or party...or they try and connect to mine we get the message "cannot connect to Xbox Live Party. There may be some network issues"

So i tried what this said http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090221123511AA3FtbU and couldn't find the NAT thingy. My friend told me to DMZ it...i added it and we could connect. Then my bro goes to connect and it says the same error with his friend. His friend says that his NAT is Open... what should i do?

A very common problem, first run "cmd" or command prompt, and type in ipconfig and a list should appear. Look for something called "default gateway" beside it should list a bunch of numbers (example: 192.168.1.254). Then copy the numbers, and put it into your browser. It should link you to your router/modem configuration page.

Usually, it will prompt you for a username and password. By default it should be Username: admin Password: admin (sometimes you don't need to put a password at all). For the full list go here: http://www.phenoelit-us.org/dpl/dpl.html

Find a tab called "Local Network" and go into the Plug and Play options. And check the box that says: "Enable full Internet Gateway Device (IGD) support" or something that is similar to that. Then hit save and after your router/modem has rebooted, you should be good to go.
