Also, I tend to hunt the silenced m4 noobs spraying everywhere, hoping for a kill. I'm more or less scared of people who go unsilenced, they seem more determined to kill me. By the way, the silenced m4 is still pretty loud, so theres no point, get good with unsilenced, and have no problems

That is a big rumour indeed. When you are shot, most players know where they are being shot from, if you can't see your enemy when you are being shot, chances are that if you go up against a decent opponent then you're as good as dead.

If they miss, you can hear the shot hit the wall behind you or beside you, which instantly gives away the opponents loacation. You can hear the bullets and from great distances, you can't normally hear guns anyway.
