...and we fight the fights that need fighting!
Men,
Do not be dismayed by the recent events of this difficult war. The Axis forces are strong, we know this now, and so to overcome we must become stronger. You must not lose faith in this war, your commanders, and most importantly your abilities.
Only recently have we spotted the fork in their snake-tongued commander; you must not be fooled:We were not unprepared in Britain. Trust that we knew of the attack and prepared accordingly. As prepared as we were, this gang of Axis soldiers proved stronger and so fell the Great Island once again. We must respect a formidable enemy, and rather than discredit our defenses let this be the legacy of the second falling of England, that their men fought harder and better.
....and that my men fought as hard as they could for as long as they could, that this is the story of each battle thus far in this war and it is for these reasons that I refuse to be disappointed with our effort. Whether in victory or defeat, I have seen flashes of brilliance and excellence from my warriors that continue to inspire me to commit all the strength and effort that I have to achieving victory. I will not judge the character of my troops by the outcome of a battle, but rather by the manner in which that battle was fought.
I'm talking about Some Random Guy ordering the re-positioning of his CINC to an obviously more tactical position and then slaying three enemy soldiers from his own.
Or Backstab charging headlong into the upper corridors of the Church and into almost certain death for the sake of the attack. He paved the way for the men behind him to accomplish objectives, and he paid the price for doing so.
... and each man who does these things; these are the Virtuous. Trepidation be damned. The Axis have forced our hand and this is our charge: seize initiative, make sacrifice, earn glory for yourselves as we attempt to secure victory for this Army!
