When the servers are updated why and what are they updating and how would it effect play ? Im just curious :?

you know how you somtimes open up steam and recieve updates? They cannot occure durring playtime so the server must be shut down to allow the updates to take palce. Also, when changes are made to addon such as admin mon or the stats stuff it must be restarted for the same reaosn.

The Question is very vauge, It really depends, Sometimes they are fixing a bug, Sometimes adding new Stats system, Sometime they just feel like it.

Its also Possible they are adding new mods, Its really hard to say when I don't usually know what is being updated, But usually its just the server being down for a while.

Technical updates from STEAM. Changes/updates to one of the modifications we use. Troubleshooting lag or other related issues.

There are a huge array of possibilities. I personally take the Kettle servers down when I run a major map update and when I change configuration settings.

Sometimes Spetz calls me up on the phone and tells me how he is going to take down the server just because he wants to mess with people.
