since the avalanche server has troubles here and there, wouldnt it make sense to swith ava with say a server that gets little to no traffic like kalt? im saying just switch the maps on em. wouldnt that work?

here are our current server rankings:

76. 24/7 =(eGO)= CHARLIE AKA STRAND
80. 24/7 =(eGO)= ANZIO
83. 24/7 =(eGO)= FLASH

despite the outages regarding avalanche and possibly the other servers as well, avalanche has managed to jump about 12 spots up from rank 14 nearly a week and a half ago. this leaves me to believe we are not the only community having server issues. If we are, well, that looks good on us considering the periods of downtime the ava instance has seen lately.

On a separate note, our anzio server has passed the nade spam server in rank as you can see. keep up the good work guys. lets start seeding and get these ranks back up to the top 10 where they should be.

I have an idea, maybe bringing back the old eGO system of houses back would be a good idea. Not for the promo monitoring or efficacy but for the home map portion of it. People feeling like they have a sense of pride in having a map server they can call home would be awesome. I know back in the days, every house was proud they had a home map. The houses could be responsible for the idling and regulation of server traffic and moderation. Just a suggestion that I think that could jumpstart the clan activity in DoDs...maybe house vs house scrims again? LMAO

I dont think we need houses back to get more people in our servers. People are going to either play or not play, regardless of community structure. Yeh houses were fun and they had their perks, but they also brought their share of disadvantages including isolation between different houses and too much rivalry.

The DoDS division is able to function much smoother without them. Less drama and a consolidated leadership in "one place" so to speak.

Servers seem to pick-up pretty quickly while I am AFK in spec after the server is empty. 20, 30 minutes some activity gets going and then picks up after that.. Works wonders. Now, to get others to just show up unintentionally is another thing.
